Lawyers in Madhya Pradesh teased movement, opposition to advocates amendment bill in many cities, understand why black law is telling

Madhya Pradesh lawyers have united against the advocate amendment bill. Demonstrations will be held across the state and memorandum will be submitted on Friday. Lawyers say that this bill is against the freedom and autonomy of the Advocate and Advocate associations.

Lawyers are on strike today in Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Sagar, Rewa, Javad, Katni, Narmadapuram.

He says that this bill is contrary to the freedom and autonomy of the Advocate and Advocate associations. If it is passed, the rights of the lawyers will be taken away. Lawyers are calling this bill a black law.

He says that the profession of advocacy is seen in society with respect. The advocate amendment bill has many provisions that will tarnish the image of the profession of advocacy. The bill does not have a single welfare scheme for lawyers. It should be withdrawn. The lawyers will submit a memorandum to the President on Friday in protest against the bill.

Central government has called suggestions till 28 February

  • The Central Law Department has released the format of Advocate Amendment Bill-2025 on social media and sought objections and suggestions in this regard from the advocates till 28 February. Lawyers across the state are opposing this bill.
  • State Advocates Council Co-Chairman Jai Hardia said that efforts are being made to keep the lawyers tied through this bill. This is a bill tightening the Bar Council of India and the State Advocates Council.
  • Efforts are being made to violate the rights of lawyers. State Advocates Council members Narendra Jain, Sunil Gupta, Vivek Singh, KP Gangore have also opposed the bill.

Many cities will not work today

Council member Narendra Jain said that many Advocate Sangh of the state will be determined by work on Friday in protest against the bill. These include Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Sagar, Rewa, Javad, Katni, Narmadapuram, Begumganj.

Will decide the strategy on 23

The Bar Council of India will meet with all the state advocates councils in this regard on 23 February and decide further strategy. The MP State Advocates Council has already made it clear that it is against this bill.

So there is opposition to the bill

  • The bill provides that foreign advocates and foreign firms will be able to advocate in India.
  • Apart from this, law graduates working in corporates will also be allowed to advocate.
  • Apart from elected members in the Bar Council of India and State Advocates Council, three government members will be appointed.
  • A complaint can be filed against the Advocate for the reduction of service in the Consumer Commission.
  • Advocates will not be able to stay away from work under any circumstances.
  • Penal fines and sanad can be suspended for indecent behavior by a lawyer in the court.
