BJP has announced the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Rekha Gupta will be the next CM of the state. After the announcement, he has also claimed to meet the Lieutenant Governor to form the government, after which LG has also invited Rekha Gupta to form the government. Please tell that Rekha Gupta will take oath of office and secrecy of Chief Minister on Thursday in a grand ceremony at Ramlila Maidan. After 26 years, the BJP government is being formed in Delhi.
Different names were constantly being discussed about who would be the next Chief Minister of Delhi, but in the meeting of BJP Legislature Party, Rekha Gupta’s name was approved. In the Delhi BJP office, 48 MLAs chose the leader of the House in the Assembly, who will become the Chief Minister on Thursday.

After being elected the leader, the future Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena in Rajnivas to present the claim to form the government. Many senior BJP leaders were also present with him.
Rekha Gupta has become an MLA for the first time from Shalimar Bagh Assembly seat in Delhi. She was born in Haryana and has also been associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.
All 48 party MLAs were present in the legislative party meeting. After the meeting, former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad announced that Rekha Gupta has unanimously elected the leader of the legislative party. The BJP Parliamentary Board appointed Prasad and National Secretary Om Prakash Dhankhar as the central supervisor.
BJP MPs Manoj Tiwari and Kamaljeet Sehrawat told the media that Rekha Gupta will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi and she will take oath tomorrow at 12 noon. Rekha Gupta will currently be the only woman Chief Minister of BJP after becoming the Chief Minister. She will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and Atishi.
After the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting, Ravi Shankar Prasad and OP Dhankhar were elected as observers. Both of them attended the meeting of Delhi BJP Legislature Party and got the process of choosing the new Chief Minister.

Here, preparations for the grand swearing -in ceremony of the new government at Ramlila Maidan are almost complete. This ceremony will start from 11 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his cabinet colleague and the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ruled states will also attend the swearing -in ceremony. About 50,000 people, including some specific guests, are likely to participate in this ceremony.
BJP Chief Minister in Delhi after 27 years
Please tell that BJP has won a clear majority in Delhi after 27 years. Out of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly, he has won 48 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party has got 22 seats. The Congress account is not open. Earlier, the BJP won 49 seats in 1993 and won a two -thirds majority, after which Madan Lal Khurana, Sahib Singh Verma and Sushma Swaraj became the chief ministers.

After 1998, the Congress ruled for 15 years and the Aam Aadmi Party formed the government since 2013. In this election, BJP has added 40 seats with a 71 percent strike rate. The party contested 68 seats. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party lost 40 seats, and their strike rate was 31 percent.
The BJP has increased its vote share by more than 9 per cent against the last election (2020), while your vote share has come down by about 10 per cent. The Congress did not get any seat, but has increased its vote share by 2 percent.
