Naiduniya, Ujjain. A case of a girl making a reel on a film song has come to light in the Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple. The temple priests are very angry on this. He says that strict action should be taken against those who indulge in indecent behavior at religious places.
Even before this, some young men and women had made reels on film songs in the temple. Action has also been taken by the temple administration in the matter.
Video went viral on social media
The latest case is related to a girl making a reel in front of the idol of Lord Shiva sitting in meditative state in Shri Mahakal Mahalok. In this, the girl is seen dancing on the film song ‘Yeh Dil To Pyaar Mange Hai’.
The matter came to light after the girl circulated the reel on the internet. The temple priests are angry over the matter. He says that young men and women should not do such indecent acts in any temple.
Pt. Mahesh Pujari said that temples are centers of religion and spirituality, no person spreading obscenity here can be a devotee. Therefore, whatever such cases come to notice, strict action should be taken against them.

Earlier, a young man found it difficult to enter the sanctum sanctorum of Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple despite the ban. On the complaint of the temple management committee, the police registered a case against him for disturbing peace and presented him before the SDM. From here he was sent to jail. In this matter the temple administrator has given notice to two employees. A letter has been sent to private security company Crystal to remove two security personnel.
For crowd management, entry into the sanctum sanctorum of Mahakal temple is restricted from July 2023. Only saints and very special guests are allowed entry. These guests also have to wear dhoti instead of normal clothes to enter inside.
Some sages and saints had reached Mahakal temple at 8.25 am on Monday morning. He reached the threshold of the sanctum sanctorum through the silver gate and entered the sanctum sanctorum. Along with these saints, a 21-year-old youth named Nihal Singh, father of Prahlad Singh also went inside.
The employees were not even aware of it. When the priests saw the young man in a track suit touching the Shivalinga in the sanctum sanctorum, he threw him out. According to the police, Nihal Singh is a resident of Jaisinghpura in Ujjain and runs a flower-necklace shop at Ramghat.

Rules broken many times, no action taken against leaders
- October 17, 2024: MP Shrikant Shinde, son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, entered the sanctum sanctorum along with his wife and two others.
- 19 August 2024: BJP State President VD Sharma, former Ujjain Rural President Bahadur Singh Bormundla and some other leaders entered the sanctum sanctorum and worshiped.
- 10 August 2024: On his birthday, BJP MLA from Ujjain North, Anil Jain Kaluhera, went to the sanctum sanctorum with his supporters and performed puja abhishek.
- 8 July 2024: BJP state organization in-charge Mahendra Singh and his relatives had entered the sanctum sanctorum.
