Mahakumbh 2025: CM Yogi’s ‘Special 28’ to get rid of Prayagraj’s Mahajam, Chief Minister gave special instructions

There is a huge crowd of devotees in the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Every path leading to Mahakumbh is jammed. People are stuck on the streets for many hours. Despite this, the process of reaching Mahakumbh Nagar continues. On an average, 1.44 crore people are bathing in Mahakumbh daily.

Due to the huge crowd of devotees, the administration has to struggle a lot to maintain the system in Mahakumbh. Devotees are facing a lot of trouble due to jam on the roads. For many hours, people are forced to be trapped on the streets.

Now CM Yogi Adityanath has held a big meeting regarding the huge crowd in Mahakumbh. In this meeting, the safety and system of devotees was discussed in Mahakumbh. CM Yogi has instructed the officials that there should be no inconvenience to the devotees in Mahakumbh. He said that there should be no negligence about the safety and system of devotees.

CM Yogi Adityanath called a meeting of senior officers in Lucknow regarding Mahakumbh. From the Chief Secretary to DGP attended the meeting. Officers associated with the fair joined this meeting through video conference. 28 PCS officers of UP have been sent to Prayagraj on special duty of Mahakumbh with immediate effect.

At the same time, after the stampede in Mahakumbh, IAS officers Ashish Goyal and Bhanu Goswami were instructed to reach Prayagraj immediately to manage the crowd well in the fair area. Both bureaucrats played an important role in the successful management of the 2019 Ardh Kumbh with Vijay Kiran. During that event, Bhanu Goswami served as District Magistrate and Vice President of Kumbh Mela Authority, while Ashish Goyal was the Commissioner of Prayagraj, who looked after the management.

CM Yogi gave these instructions to the officials regarding Mahakumbh

  • The CM said that do not let traffic stop on Mahakumbh route. Parking sites should be used as much as possible. Devotees are coming to Prayagraj from every direction. In such a situation, the queue of vehicles on the roads should not be made, the situation of traffic jam should not be made.
  • While reviewing the arrangements of Maha Kumbh, the Chief Minister said that it is necessary to take special vigilance on Magh Purnima. In view of Magh Purnima, CM has asked to implement better traffic and crowd management. The Chief Minister has also directed to increase shuttle buses from the parking lot to the fair premises. Not a single vehicle unauthorized in the fair premises will be admitted.
  • On the instructions of the Chief Minister, several police officers including ADM and 28 administrative officers of SDM level were deployed in Mahakumbh. The CM said that the officials of all the districts who share the border with Prayagraj should continue to contact the Prayagraj administration, with the movement of vehicles with mutual coordination. In view of the crowd, instructions have also been given to run additional buses of more and more fair special train and Transport Corporation.
