Madhya Pradesh Culture Department is vigorously branding the rich art, culture and heritage of this place through dance, drama, singing, instruments and paintings.
Its philosophy is attracting the devotees from all over the world to visit Ujjain along with giving them a feeling of joy. Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti, Shipra Aarti, 84 Mahadev, Emperor Vikramaditya, Raja Bhoj, Malkhamb, Vedic clock, Matki dance, everything is here.
Madhya Pradesh Mandapam in Prayagraj
Every day at seven in the evening, songs of all the holy rivers including Narmada and Shipra are being sung on the banks of Ganga. Let us tell you, in the ‘Madhya Pradesh Mandapam’ built in Prayagraj, every day, every day, folk artists sing the praises of Madhya Pradesh through cultural presentations.
Some presentations have been made. According to the prepared calendar, Ujjain’s dance guru Pratibha Raghuvanshi will perform Shipra Aarti in Malvi-Kathak style between 22 and 24 January.
Malkhamb will also be demonstrated
Gaurav Tiwari will perform the state game Malkhamb between January 31 and February 2. Vinati Jain along with fellow artists will present the famous Matki dance of Malvanchal from February 3 to 5. During the same period, Bhojdev dance drama and Krishnayana dance drama will be staged under the direction of Sanjeev Malviya.
84 forms of Lord Shiva will be seen
Under the direction of Shirish Rajpurohit, the dance drama Mahadev will be staged between 15 to 17 February and Shri Krishna Leela between 18 to 20 February. Devkaran Malviya will perform devotional singing and Chitranshi Ukhel Matki dance between 24th to 26th February. A picture exhibition titled Mahadev, focusing on the 84 forms of Lord Shiva, will be held between February 21 and 26.
Mahakumbh will be held in Nashik in the year 2027, then in Ujjain in 2028
After Prayagraj, the next Mahakumbh will be held in Nashik city situated on the banks of Godavari river in 2027. After this, in 2028 it will be installed in Ujjain situated on the banks of Shipra river. State governments have already started preparations for this.
Madhya Pradesh government is preparing to spend more than Rs 18 thousand crore for Ujjain Mahakumbh. Shri Ram Tiwari, Cultural Advisor to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, said that the devotees are experiencing joy after seeing the heritage, art and culture of Madhya Pradesh including Ujjain.
