Kumbh Mela 2025: Preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 are continuing on a grand scale in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Let us tell you that Mahakumbh will be organized from 13 January to 26 February. 10 digital lost and found centers established
Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday said that 10 state-of-the-art digital ‘Khoya-Paya Centres’ have been set up to ensure security and convenience during the Maha Kumbh. These centers are equipped with multiple facilities including waiting rooms and medical rooms to provide immediate assistance. Separate refreshment areas have been arranged for women and children in the centre. Apart from this, the administration has installed 55-inch LED screens connected to the public announcement system in all the centres. Live updates about lost and found persons and objects will be displayed on these screens.

The main model of the Khoya-Paya centre, located at the western end of the Sangam return route, will deploy five staff on regular days and nine on bathing days to manage the crowd effectively. Lost and found centers are designed for maximum accuracy in handling lost persons and items. Information about lost and found persons will be recorded digitally. Those giving information will receive a computerized receipt for reference. Along with this, photographs and details of missing persons will be broadcast on a 55-inch LED screen for identification.

All the Khoya-Paya centers established during Mahakumbh are connected to the new communication network. Information about missing persons and lost items will also be shared on Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp. The digital centers will assist in locating missing children, mobile phones, purses and other items. Along with this, inquiry centers have been set up in the entire fair area to help the pilgrims coming to Mahakumbh.
At which places will the ten lost and found centers be located?
Establishment of 10 Khoya Paya centers by the administration – Sector-04: Main Centre, Sector-03: Akshayavat Pandal, Sector-03: Sangam Nose, Sector-18: Airavat Dwar, Sector-23: Tent City, Sector-23: Arail Pakka Ghat, Sector-06: Major Ghat, Sector-14: Bada Jhusi Ghat, Sector-17: Sangam Area, Sector-08: Major bathing area.
What facilities will be available in the inquiry centres?
All the necessary information related to Mahakumbh, Prayagraj city and fair area will be available in the inquiry centers set up by the administration to help the pilgrims. Here you will get information about the current status of police stations, outposts, fire brigade centres, hospitals and major administrative offices, bus and railway stations, as well as train schedules and routes. Along with this, the devotees will be given guidelines for pilgrimage sites, temples and historical sites, details of Akharas, Mahamandaleshwar camps, Kalpvasi camps and bathing ghats, traffic restrictions and changes within the fair grounds and hotels along with voluntary organizations participating in the Maha Kumbh.
