Vadodara city also witnessed 6 incidents due to kite flying. Of these, five people were injured, while Madhuri Kaushikbhai Patel (35), living in Chhani area, died.

In Vadodara city itself, a person died after falling from the roof while flying a kite. At the same time, Mansaji Ragunji Thakor (35) died after being hit by a Manjha in Vadbar village of Vadnagar taluka.

Three youths were injured by kite string in Vadodara.

Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu festivals are being celebrated across the country. The first nectar bath of Mahakumbh took place on the occasion of Makar Sankranti in Prayagraj. 3.5 crore people took a dip in it.
