There was chaos when flowers fell on the clothes of the people participating in the torch march. Due to people throwing torches in Mumbai market and clock tower area, high flames started rising on the road as well. It is fortunate that the fire was controlled immediately, otherwise a major accident could have happened.
As soon as the information was received, Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Rai and other officers reached the spot and controlled the situation. Later he reached the hospital and took stock of the injured.

- A program to pay tribute to martyrs and against terrorism was organized by Rashtrabhakt Yuva Veer Sangathan in Barabam area at 8 pm on Thursday night.
- Supreme Court advocate Nazia Khan and Karnataka MLA T Raja addressed the meeting. After this stage event, a torch march was taken out from Barabam area.
