New Delhia few moments ago

India Mobility Global Expo 2025 has started from today (January 17). In this, today Maruti has revealed (introduced) its first electric car E Vitara. According to the company, this car will run more than 500 kilometers on a single charge.

For the first time, 34 automobile companies are participating in Expo 2025. This number is the highest since the first edition of Auto Expo held in 1986. The official name of this expo is ‘The Motor Show’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event. Prime Minister remembered Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki while addressing the expo. He said – India’s auto industry is both fantastic and future ready. I will also remember Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki today. These two great people have made a huge contribution in the growth of the Indian auto sector and fulfilling the dreams of the middle class.

This year the scope of Bharat Mobility Expo has increased significantly. Last time, more than 800 exhibitors participated and more than 1.5 lakh people visited. This time, along with Bharat Mandapam, this expo is also going on at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka and India Expo Center in Greater Noida.

The Prime Minister said – A large number of people will come here in the coming 5-6 days. Many new vehicles are also going to be launched here. This shows how much positivity there is about the future of mobility in India.

Key points of PM Modi’s speech

  • India’s auto industry has grown at the rate of about 12% in the last year. Not many countries have the population as many vehicles are being sold every year as India.
  • India is today the fifth largest economy in the world. Just imagine where India’s auto market will be when it joins the three largest economies of the world.
