On the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya of Mahakumbh 2025, a huge crowd of devotees is gathering in Prayagraj. On this occasion, millions of people have arrived to take a dip in the Ganges-Sangam and the fair administration has made extensive preparations to ensure their safety and convenience. It is estimated that about 8 to 10 crore devotees will reach the Sangam coast today. There is an atmosphere of gaiety and devotion of devotees all around. The Uttar Pradesh government has deployed more than one thousand medical workers here in view of the gathering of a large number of devotees on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, modern medical facilities have been provided in every sector of the fair.

Decision to operate 190 special trains
The Railways has decided to operate a total of 360 trains including 190 special trains for millions of devotees coming to the Mahakumbh Mela of Mauni Amavasya. This information was given by Railway Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Satish Kumar on Tuesday.

Advice to avoid rumors and be cautious
On the holy occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the fair administration has made special preparations to ensure the safety and convenience of the devotees. Devotees have been advised to avoid any kind of rumors and be cautious. Apart from this, a team of fair police, traffic police and special doctors has been deployed 24 hours to oversee the devotees in emergency.

• Go from different lanes to reach Sangam Ghat
• Stay in your lane while going to the Ganges bath
• The visiting devotees go directly to the parking
• Stay in your lane while going to visit temples, depart from there for your destination.
• Take the support of the police if needed, the police is to help you
• Traffic police is also ready to help you
• In case of health problems, get checked in the hospital built in the nearest sector
• Keep patience on barricading and pantoon bridges, avoid haste and shock
• Use only paper, jute or eco friendly utensils and axes
• All ghats are Sangam Ghats, take a bath there
• Devotees should not stay at one place together
• Devotees who come and go to any situation do not face face to face
• Avoid rumors spread by someone at the fair
• Do not accept any confusion spread on social media as true
• Do not show any kind of hurry to visit temples
• Do not stop on the paths instead of the holding area, do not create any obstruction
• Avoid coming under any pretext of anyone with arrangement or convenience
• Avoid pursuing any kind of misleading news
• Do not hurry for a holy bath
• Avoid using plastic pages and utensils

Date of second nectar bath on Mauni Amavasya in Mahakumbh
The date of Amavasya in the month of Magh is on 28 January, Tuesday at 7.35 minutes on Tuesday, and on January 29, Wednesday, on Wednesday, 6.5 pm. According to sunrise, the date of Amavasya is on 29 January. Amavasya of Magh month is called Mauni Amavasya. At the same time, Siddhi Yoga is also going to be constructed on the day of Mauni Amavasya. On January 29, in the morning of Mauni Amavasya, there is a Brahma Muhurta from 5.25 am to 6.18 am in the morning. During this time the confluence bath and charity will be very fruitful. Abhijeet Muhurta is not being made on this day. Vijay Muhurta is being constructed from 2.2 to 22 minutes to 3 pm in the afternoon. There is an twilight Muhurta from 5.55 minutes to 6.25 pm in the evening. It will be good to bathe and donate in these Muhurta too. However, on this day, Rahukaal is going to be held from 11.34 am to 1.55 am. In Hinduism, auspicious work in Rahukaal is considered taboo. Therefore, it would be good to bathe and donate at this time.

Prayagraj police-administration has tightened security on the district. Apart from this, hoardings have also been installed in the city for the convenience of devotees on behalf of the administration, in which information was given about the route leading to Mahakumbh Mela area. Along with this, all the streets and mohalla roads of the route leading from Prayagraj railway station towards Kumbh Mela have been sealed.

According to religious beliefs, the bathing of Mauni Amavasya is considered very auspicious, so people are continuously reaching the Sangam city to take a dip of faith in the Sangam city. On Sunday, where 1.74 crore devotees took a Sangam bath, till 8 pm on Monday, 1.55 crore devotees took a holy dip. With this, the total number of bathing in Mahakumbh has increased to 14.76 crore so far.
