In the case of murder of five people of the same family in Meerut, the police have taken into custody two of the three accused. While one is absconding. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada gave this information. He told that on the complaint of the brother of the deceased Asma, a case was registered against 3 named and some unknown people. Two were detained. In which one brother is Tasleem and sister-in-law is Nazrana. The third named is Naeem who is absconding since the incident. Police has announced a reward of Rs 25 thousand on Naeem.
Parents including 3 girls brutally murdered
These murders that shook Meerut city came to light on Thursday night. Asmaan, her husband and three daughters were murdered in Suhail Garden, a densely populated area of the city. The bodies of all were found in their respective houses. The bodies of Asma and her husband were wrapped in a sheet. Whereas the bodies of three girls were packed in a sack and kept in the ‘box’ of the bed. Police have identified the deceased as Moin alias Moinuddin (52), his wife Asmaan (45) and their three daughters Afshan (eight years), Aziza (four years) and Adeeba (one year).
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada said that on the basis of the complaint given by the relatives of the deceased woman, a case has been registered against three named and some unknown persons in the case of murder of five people including three girls in Lisadi Gate area of the police station on January 9. Has been registered.
He said that two of these named accused and some other suspects have been detained by the police and they are being interrogated. A named accused is absconding and efforts are on to arrest him.
Asma’s brother filed a case
According to Police Station Lisadi Gate, late night Asma’s brother Shamim filed a complaint in which Asma’s sister-in-law Nazrana and her two brothers have been named. Police have registered a case against three named and two unidentified. Two of the named accused are being detained and interrogated.
The SSP, who visited the crime scene on Thursday night along with other senior officials, said that when locals and neighbors checked the house in the evening, the family’s house was locked from outside. “After entering through the roof, they found the bodies,” Tada told reporters. The way the house was locked shows that the person involved in the crime could be someone known to the family. The SSP said preliminary investigation points to old enmity as a possible motive behind the incident. He said, ‘A detailed investigation of the matter is going on.’
The family’s neighbor Imran Saifi told reporters that the murders were carried out in a very gruesome manner. He said the neighbors came to know about the incident when the deceased woman’s brother came searching for her and found the family. Saifi said, ‘The entire family had recently come to live in Suhail Garden area and was living in a rented house. They were building their house at a short distance from there.
Asmaan’s brother Shamim told journalists that he lives in Hapur and his sister got married for the second time nine years ago. When asked who might be behind the murders, he said he had no idea. However, he insisted that his sister was a good person who had no quarrel with anyone. He appealed for justice. Talking about Moeen he said that he was a mason. He also revealed that some time ago, a loan of Rs 4.5 lakh was given to Moin’s elder brother to buy some land.
