Despite the promotion being done on the basis of the recommendation of the Departmental Promotion Committee headed by M Devaraj, the most honest IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh and the then Principal Secretary, Technical Education, and the consent at the top level, the continuous media trial for political character assassination is unacceptable.
The Information Department of Uttar Pradesh should step forward and stop this game of lies, deception and media trials. If this departmental promotion is wrong then clarification should be given by the Information Department.
I have said this before and am saying it once again that if the Chief Minister deems it appropriate, then I, as a Minister, will call for a permanent end to this vicious attempt to assassinate my political character through repeated media trials, lies and deceit. CBI can investigate all the decisions taken till date.
Not only this, I go to the extent of saying that if it is deemed appropriate, then the property acquired by myself, my wife and the National President of Apna Dal (S) and Union Minister Honorable Anupriya Patel after becoming MP-Legislative Council member, Should also be investigated.

Complained to Amitabh Thakur Apna Dal official says that the Information Department has lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta against dismissed IPS Amitabh Thakur. He says why the name of the then ACS M Devraj is not there in the complaint. The promotion has been done only with the approval of ACS and M.Devraj. He says that the Information Department is repeatedly conspiring against him. If this departmental promotion is wrong then an explanation should be given by the Information Department. That is why they have to post it on X.
M.Devaraj is currently the Additional Chief Secretary of the Appointments and Personnel Department. At the time of promotion in the Technical Education Department, he was the ACS of that department.

What is the whole matter-
- In the Technical Education Department, instead of direct recruitment of Heads of Departments in Government Polytechnic Colleges, lecturers working in colleges were promoted and made Heads of Departments.
- It is alleged that if the posts were filled through direct recruitment, the backward and Dalit classes would have got the benefit of reservation, but by promoting 177 lecturers against the rules, the reserved class was deprived.
- Rs 25-25 lakh were recovered from each candidate. Due to this rigging, the government has to pay an additional annual burden of Rs 50 crore to ineligible workers. According to sources, Ashish Patel’s OSD has also resigned in protest against this.
- BJP MLA Meenakshi Singh has written a letter to the Chief Minister and the SIT alleging financial irregularities of Rs 50 crore every year in the department. He has also demanded investigation into the matter.
Now Apna Dal’s dispute with Yogi government will increase… The conflict between Apna Dal (S) and Yogi government has increased rapidly since the Lok Sabha elections. Experts believe that it started with the recruitment of 69 thousand assistant teachers. The leadership of Apna Dal (S) is upset that the behavior of the government machinery was not proper during the elections. No help was received even from the government level.

Political analysts believe that Minister Ashish Patel has given a statement against the government for the second time in a month. This will increase the conflict between Apna Dal (S) and Yogi government.
Earlier, his wife and Union Minister Anupriya Patel had also been raising questions with the government regarding reservation in contracts and outsourced recruitment and other issues. If this conflict does not end in time, then there will be problems for both the parties in the upcoming assembly elections in 2027.
The alliance between Apna Dal (S) and BJP has happened at the central level. In such a situation, it would be too early to say that Apna Dal will break ties with BJP. Because in the current situation, without BJP, Apna Dal’s political existence is not special.
Sometimes Anupriya raised questions
1- Reservation in teacher recruitment: Apna Dal (S) itself had raised the issue of SC and OBC not getting benefits as per the rules of reservation in the recruitment of 69 thousand assistant teachers in Basic Education Council. This dispute has not been resolved till date. Whereas, the Yogi government is claiming to provide the benefits of reservation as per the rules.
2- Letter written to CM Yogi: Anupriya wrote a letter to Chief Minister Yogi on 27 June. It was alleged that the reservation rules for SC-ST and OBC are not being followed in the recruitment being done in government departments. In the name of not finding suitable candidates for these categories, their posts are being given to general category candidates.
3- Chief Secretary dispute: Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel had a dispute with the Principal Secretary of the department M. Devraj. Minister Ashish Patel expressed objection to the transfers being done by M. Devraj. The minister sent the transfer letter to the Chief Minister’s Office. The result was that the transfer session in the department remained void.
4- The issue of reservation was again raised from the stage: The event was held in Lucknow on the birth anniversary of Apna Dal (S) founder Sonelal Patel. During this, Anupriya raised the issue of reservation for SC-ST and OBC in the recruitment of government departments. He also reiterated that the king in democracy was born from EVM.
5- Raised the issue of toll tax: Anupriya objected to the installation of additional toll booth at Ahraura on Varanasi-Shaktinagar road. He says- According to NHAI rules, the distance between one toll to another should be 40 kilometers. But, wrong toll is being collected from vehicle owners by setting up two toll plazas at Fatehpur and Ahraura, 20 kilometers apart on the route.
