In Delhi, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh made a big statement that Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Pojk) can only return to the Modi government. He said this at the ‘Pojk Sankalp Divas’ program organized by Jammu and Kashmir People’s Forum and Mirpur Pojk Sacrifice Committee. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta was also present on the occasion, who said that the dream of mixing Pojk in India can now become a reality. Both reminded of the mistakes of 1947, due to which Pojk is in Pakistan’s possession today.
India’s divided due to Nehru-Jinna’s ambitions
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that India’s partition was a big mistake, which was caused by Nehru and Jinnah’s ambitions. He said that when the Indian Army was reaching Mirpur in 1948, he was liberating Pojk, then Nehru got ceasefire and took the matter to the UN. Had this not happened, Pojk would have been a part of India today. He said that India lost thousands of kilometers of land due to Nehru’s mistakes. But now the Modi government is committed to bring back the Pojk (Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir), POTL (Pakistan-occupied Ladakh-Pakistan-Occupied Territories of Ladakh) and COTL (China-occupied Ladakh-China-Occupied Territories of Ladakh). He assured that this work will be completed in the Modi government itself.
Pojk people ready to come with India
Tushar Mehta said that removing article 370 seemed impossible earlier, but the Modi government showed it. Now no party talks about its restoration. He recalled the statement of Home Minister Amit Shah in which he said that Pojk is a part of India and we will give life for this. Mehta also said that today Pakistan is struggling with economic crisis and people in Pojk are craving for food and drink. 35% of people are unemployed there. Seeing the development in Jammu and Kashmir, the people of Pojk are also ready to come with India. He suggested that we should remove the name like ‘Azad Kashmir’ and call it only Pojk.
Pakistani army’s atrocities also talk on Hindus in Kashmir
The program also talked about the massacre of 1947. At that time, the Pakistani army killed thousands of Hindu-Sikhs, kidnapped and looted in areas like Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Kotli and Rajouri. Millions of people became homeless, who are still struggling in India. This is the painful part of history, which less people know.
Dr. Singh said that the area of ​​Pojk is 13,297 sq km, POTL 67,791 sq km and COTL 42,735 sq km. After the 1962 war, China captured about 37 thousand sq km of land including Aksai Chin and in 1963 Pakistan handed over 5,180 sq km Shaksgam Valley to him. This region is strategically important and is an essential part of India’s sovereignty.
He said that in 1994, Parliament passed the resolution that Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India and Pakistan would have to give up possession. To fulfill this resolution, now the government and the public will have to work together.
