Omar Abdullah had said – PM should not come under pressure Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had said- Emotions of many communities are attached to Khwaja Garib Nawaz. Hopefully, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not succumb to any pressure and will continue the tradition of sending chadar to Ajmer Dargah. People of only one religion do not visit Ajmer Dargah.

Hearing regarding Dargah dispute on January 24 National President of Hindu Sena, Vishnu Gupta had filed a petition claiming that the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer is a Sankat Mochan Mahadev Temple. Considering the petition filed in Ajmer Civil Court worthy of hearing, the court had fixed December 20, 2024 as the next date of hearing. In this, Magistrate Manmohan Chandel, after listening to the arguments of the petitioner and the lawyers of other parties, has fixed the date of next hearing as 24 January 2025. Gupta has also filed an application in the court against sending the chadar to Ajmer Sharif Dargah on behalf of the Prime Minister, demanding an immediate ban on it.

Petitioner’s claim- Facts prove that earlier there was a temple in place of the Dargah. National President of Hindu Sena, Vishnu Gupta, says that the petition has been filed on the basis of 2 years of research and the facts given in the book of retired judge Harbilas Sharda. It is mentioned in the book that a Brahmin couple lived here and used to worship in the Mahadev temple built at the Dargah site. Apart from this, there are many other facts, which prove that before the Dargah, there was a Shiva temple here.

There are three grounds for the claims of Hindu Sena National President Vishnu Gupta…

Design and carving of doors: The structure of the lofty door present in the Dargah is like the doors of Hindu temples. Looking at the carvings it can also be guessed that there must have been a Hindu temple here earlier.

Upper Structure: If we look at the upper structure of the Dargah, we can see things like remains of Hindu temples here too. Looking at the domes, it can be easily guessed that a Hindu temple has been demolished and a Dargah has been constructed here.

Water and Waterfalls: Wherever there are Shiva temples, there is definitely water and waterfalls. It is the same here (Ajmer Dargah).

Descendents said – They are saying such things because of cheap mentality Ajmer Dargah chief successor and descendant of Khwaja Saheb, Nasruddin Chishti had said – Some people are saying such things due to cheap mentality. How long will this continue? Every day every mosque and dargah is being claimed to be a temple. There should be a law that such things should not be said. All these claims are false and baseless.

Leaving aside the book of Harbilas Sharda, can’t 800 years old history be denied? Hindu kings have worshiped here. The silver plate (42,961 tola) inside was offered by the Maharaja of Jaipur. These are all false things. Justice Ghulam Hasan’s committee has already given a clean chit to the Government of India in 1950. Under this, each and every building of the Dargah has been inspected.

Gehlot raised questions on BJP, RSS and PM Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot had raised questions on BJP, RSS and PM Narendra Modi over the controversy arising out of the claim of there being a Shiva temple in the Ajmer Dargah complex. Gehlot had said – Whatever religious places were built till August 15, 1947, they will remain in the same condition, this is the law. It is wrong to question them.
