Ravichandran Ashwin had announced his retirement on December 18 after the Gaba Test.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter to former cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin. Through this letter, the PM also wished Ashwin all the best for his future.

Modi wrote in the letter – At a time when everyone was expecting more off-breaks, you bowled a carrom ball that baffled everyone. People will miss jersey number 99.

Ashwin had announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket after the Gabba Test on 18 December.

On December 19, R Ashwin reached Chennai from Australia.
