‘He’s like my father’
Mohini wrote in the caption, ‘It is unbelievable to see so many misinformation and baseless claims against me and AR Rahman. It seems a crime that the media has vulgarized both the incidents. I respect my childhood days of working with AR Rahman. I worked with him for 8.5 years in his films, tours etc. It is disappointing to see that people have no respect or empathy for such emotional matters. It saddens me to see the state of mind of people. AR Rahman is a legend and he is like a father to me! There are many role models and father figures in my life who have played an important role in my career and upbringing.
The claims being spread on social media are false
In the same episode, Mohini further wrote, ‘Let me name a few – my father who taught me everything about music (whom I lost a year ago) and then Ranjit Barot who introduced me to the industry. Louis Banks who shaped me and AR Rahman who gave me the freedom to shine in his musical arrangements during his shows and recording sessions. I cherish it and will always cherish it. Media-paps do not understand the impact it has on people’s minds and lives. Be sensitive. I don’t owe anyone any explanation, but I don’t want this to disrupt my day, so please stop making false claims and respect our privacy.
