More than 30 deaths in Mahakumbh stampede: PM Modi kept taking updates from moment to moment, call Yogi 4 times in the morning

More than 30 devotees died and 90 were injured in a painful incident of Alsubah stampede on Wednesday from Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Talking about the incident, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the accident occurred close to Sangam on Akhara Marg. The UP government has ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident. Giving information about the number of dead, Yogi looked emotional and his throat was strangled. PM Modi has been in contact with CM Yogi since morning regarding the stampede incident. The two talked about the phone about four times in the morning. PM Modi gave instructions to normalize the situation and provide relief. CM Yogi also gave information about this incident on Wednesday morning. He told that there is a huge crowd pressure in Prayagraj and the incident that has happened is due to the trapping of Barricade. Appealing to the devotees, he said that I will appeal to the people not to follow the instructions of the administration and ignore the rumors. Today, about 9 to 10 crore devotees are in Prayagraj. I will tell everyone that whatever ghat he is on, take a bath there. Bathing on Sangam nose is not necessary, all the devotees should avoid going there. It is our priority to take a safe bath. There is a huge pressure of the crowd in Prayagraj, so the devotees will take a bath first and only then the saints will bathe.

Chief Minister Yogi appeals to devotees

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to the devotees not to pay attention to the rumors. CM Yogi wrote- Take a bath there, do not try to go towards Sangam nose. Apply the instructions of the administration, cooperate in creating arrangements. Do not pay attention to any rumor. After PM, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and inquired about the situation about the stampede in Prayagraj. He also assured the devotees of all possible help.

Minister JP Nadda also talked to CM Yogi

Union Minister JP Nadda also spoke to CM Yogi over the phone. CM Yogi told Nadda that the situation has been controlled. During the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a stampede -like situation occurred before the Mouni Amavasya bath on Wednesday. About 30 women were injured in this accident, who were going to bathe in Sangam. The incident took place among the crowd of millions of devotees for the holy bath, due to which the akhadas had to stop their program for some time.

All India Akhara Parishad President Ravindra Puri said, “We are very unhappy with the incident that happened. There were thousands of devotees with us … In the public, we decided that the arena will not participate in the bath today … I appeal to the people I am that they should come to bathe on Vasant Panchami instead of today… This incident happened because the devotees wanted to reach the Sangam Ghat, instead they saw the holy Ganges wherever they saw the holy Ganges, they should take a dip … ”
