1. Fire in Mahakumbh Mela area, 180 cottages burnt; There was a cylinder blast while cooking.
When the fire broke out, the train was passing through a nearby railway bridge. There were no casualties in the accident.
A fire broke out in the camp of Geeta Press located in the Mahakumbh Mela area of Prayagraj. 180 cottages were burnt in the accident. This camp is in Sector 19 near Shastri Bridge. While cooking, a cylinder exploded, after which the remaining cylinders also caught fire. 12 fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control. CM Yogi Adityanath reached the spot. Shortly before the incident, he had taken stock of the fair area from the helicopter.
What are the preparations to deal with fire in the fair: To make the Maha Kumbh Mela area fire free, more than 350 fire brigades, more than 2000 trained manpower, 50 fire stations and 20 fire posts have been created. Fire protection equipment has been installed in the arenas and tents. The Chief Fire Officer of the fair said that about 500 people were saved from the fire. 2. Bangladeshi arrested for attack on Saif; Police claim- had entered the house with the intention of stealing
Accused Mohammad Shahzad was arrested from the labor camp of Thane. No valid Indian document has been found with him. The court has sent Shahzad to judicial custody for 5 days.
Mumbai Police has arrested a Bangladeshi citizen for attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The police caught the accused from a labor camp. Mohammed Shariful Islam Shahzad, 30, was living in Mumbai under the name Vijay Das. Police said that the accused had entered the actor’s house with the intention of stealing. However, the police is investigating whether he is the attacker or not.
2 more suspects have been caught: Two suspects have already been arrested in the case. On Saturday, the police had detained a suspect from Durg in Chhattisgarh, but he was not found to be involved in the case, after which he was released.
