1. 3.5 crore took a dip in Mahakumbh in 12 hours; ‘Maha Kumbh Nagar’ becomes the largest district in the world

The first nectar bath of Mahakumbh took place on Makar Sankranti. First of all the Sadhus and Naga Sannyasis of 13 Akharas took bath. After this the common devotees took a dip. 3.5 crore people took a dip in the Sangam in 12 hours. ‘Maha Kumbh Nagar’ became the largest district in the world. There was never such a large crowd anywhere in the world in one day. On the first Snan Paush Purnima on Monday, 1.65 crore people took a dip in the Sangam.

People stopped from going to the railway station: After bathing, people started returning from Prayagraj. There was no space left for the huge crowd at Prayagraj railway station and bus stand. Police said that the student’s family was in touch with an NGO, which was opposing the hanging of Afzal Guru. The sender of the mail was a minor, so the police did not take him into custody. However, his laptop and mobile phone were seized for forensic investigation.

Why did the student give bomb threat: The student told during interrogation that he did not want to give the exam, hence he sent the email. To avoid suspicion, he emailed his school as well as 23 schools. Bomb threats were sent 50 times in Delhi from May to December 2024. This also includes hospitals, airports and airline companies.
