1. Delhi Elections: 3 parties of India support AAP; Ashok Gehlot said- AAP is our opposition
Arvind Kejriwal almost fell during the group photo after the INDIA Block meeting held in Mumbai on 1 September 2023. Then he was supported by fellow leaders.
Before the Delhi Assembly elections, SP, TMC and Shiv Sena (UBT) have supported AAP. For this, Arvind Kejriwal thanked Mamata Banerjee and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. After this, senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said, ‘AAP is our opponent in Delhi. Kejriwal is spreading confusion among the public that his party will win the elections again. Kejriwal hit back at Gehlot and said-
Gehlot ji made it clear that ‘AAP’ is the opposition to Congress in Delhi. The secret alliance of BJP and Congress has been exposed in the assembly elections.
Account of last election: In 2020, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got 62 seats with 53.57% votes, while BJP got 38.51% votes, including 8 seats. 2. AAP’s Sheeshmahal Vs BJP’s Rajmahal; BJP called Atishi the goddess of bungalow.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj reached Delhi CM House with the media, where they were stopped by the police.

3. Stampede in Tirupati temple, 6 dead; 4 thousand people were in queue for token at the ticket booking counter
After the scuffle, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) workers could not control the situation.
A stampede broke out near the Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan ticket counter at Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh at 9:30 pm. Six people including a woman died in the accident. Actually, more than 4 thousand devotees were standing in the queue near the counter. At the same time, devotees were asked to queue up at Bairagi Pattida Park. There was chaos in the race to go ahead. People jumped on each other while running away.
The gate where the accident occurred was to be opened on January 10: On Tuesday, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) executive officer J Shyamala Rao had said that the Vaikuntha gates will be opened for darshan on Vaikuntha Ekadashi from January 10 to 19. 4. Cases of Corona like HMPV virus increased to 9 in the country, 6 month old girl found infected in Mumbai. 8 cases of Corona like virus HMPV have been found in India. Yesterday a 6 month old girl was found infected in Mumbai. Two cases were reported in Nagpur on Tuesday. Earlier, 6 children were found infected in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Gujarat.
Advice on wearing mask in Punjab: After the HMPV case came to light, states have also increased vigilance. In Punjab, the elderly and children have been advised to wear masks. 6. Oscar-2025: 5 Indian films in the race; Final nomination list will be released on January 17
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the list of 232 films in the Oscar race. This includes India’s Kanguva, Aadujeevitham, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, All We Imagine as Light and Girls Will Be Girls.
Final nomination will be received on the basis of voting: Voting will be done among all the 232 films found eligible, after which they will get the final nomination at Oscars 2025. Voting will run from January 8 to January 12. After this, the final list of nominated films will be released on January 17. The 97th Oscar Awards Ceremony will be held on March 2. According to media reports, the ruling Liberal Party may elect a new PM before the parliamentary elections to be held this year. It is believed that a consensus can be reached in the party on Anita’s name.
