1. MP Cabinet’s decision – Liquor ban in 17 religious cities including Ujjain-Omkareshwar, rule will be implemented from April 1

47 liquor shops in 17 religious cities of Madhya Pradesh will be completely closed. These shops will not be shifted anywhere. This decision will come into effect from April 1. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held on Friday in Maheshwar.

Those 17 cities where liquor is banned: Apart from Ujjain, Datia, Panna, Mandla, Multai, Mandsaur, Maihar, municipal council areas of Omkareshwar, Maheshwar, Orchha, Chitrakoot and Amarkantak are included. Apart from this, the existing policy of prohibition of liquor within a radius of five kilometers in Salkanpur Mata Mandir, Barman Kala, Barman Khurd, Kundalpur and Bandakpur will continue at the Gram Panchayat level.

How much loss: The decision will result in a revenue loss of around Rs 400 crore. Now Rs 13,941 crore. There is income. License fees will be increased by 20% in the new policy. This will provide additional Rs 2,788 crore. Despite liquor ban, revenue was Rs 16,329 crore. could reach.

How to compensate?: There is a proposal to increase the renewal license fees of shops by 20% from the current rate. This condition has also been added that only the districts where 80% of the shops are renewed at 20% higher rate will be considered as renewed. Where renewal is less than 80%, there will be tenders again.

2. Amul milk cheaper by Rs 1 across the country: Gold will be available at Rs 65 and Fresh at Rs 53 per liter.

Amul milk has become cheaper by one rupee across the country. Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) Managing Director Jayen Mehta has said that the prices of Amul Gold, Amul Shakti and Amul Fresh have been reduced. The new prices have been implemented from January 24 itself.

  • Relations with home have to be ended. The money accumulated during the period of retirement will have to be given for public welfare. Own ashram, Sanskrit school, provide free education of Vedas to Brahmins.
