1. Delhi elections- Pravesh Verma will contest against Kejriwal, Bidhuri against Atishi.
BJP has released the first list of 29 candidates for Delhi Assembly elections. Candidates have been changed on 16 seats while sitting MLAs have been given tickets on 13 seats. Pravesh Verma will contest against Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi. BJP has fielded Ramesh Bidhuri against Atishi from Kalkaji. Congress has given ticket to Alka Lamba from this seat.
Ticket to Kailash Gehlot, who joined BJP from AAP: AAP’s former transport minister Kailash Gehlot has been made the candidate from Bijwasan. Kailash had earlier won elections twice from Najafgarh seat. After Atishi became the CM, he was angry with the decision of the party high command. It was being said that he himself was in the CM race. After this, Kailash left AAP on 17 November. A day later, on November 18, he joined BJP.
Actually, AAP has declared candidates on all 70 seats. Congress has also fielded 48 candidates in three lists so far. The dates of assembly elections in Delhi are going to be announced soon.

2. Army truck falls into ditch in Jammu and Kashmir, 4 soldiers dead, 2 serious
Army truck fell into a ditch in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. 4 soldiers died in the accident. 2 soldiers are seriously injured. The accident occurred in SK Payen area of the district. Officials said visibility was low due to bad weather. This could be the reason for the accident.
5 soldiers died in the accident on 24th December: Earlier on December 24, an army van had fallen into a 350 feet deep gorge in Poonch district. There were 18 soldiers in the van. Of these, 5 had died. All the soldiers involved in the accident belonged to 11 Maratha Regiment.

3. PM Modi’s chadar offered at Ajmer Dargah, Rijiju read out PM Modi’s message.
Minister Kiren Rijiju offered the chadar sent by PM Narendra Modi for the 11th time at Ajmer Dargah.
The chadar sent by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was offered at the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Union Minority Affairs Minister and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju had reached Ajmer with a sheet. At the Dargah, he read out PM Modi’s message and prayed for peace and brotherhood in the country.
Actually, visiting the Dargah of Garib Nawaz during Urs in Ajmer is an old tradition of the country. Rijiju said that offering a chadar on behalf of PM Modi is like offering a chadar on behalf of the entire country. We want a good environment in the country.
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said;-
Just sending the bedsheet will be of no use. Modi ji is sending sheets, but his fans are going to court saying that Khwaja’s Dargah is not a Dargah. Rather it is a temple. If the Prime Minister wants, all this will stop.
Rijiju was questioned on the temple’s claim on the dargah: Is PM’s chadar an answer to those who claim there is a temple in the Dargah? On this question he said that we are not doing this to answer anyone or to show off to anyone. We have brought the message of the Prime Minister that the people of the country should live well.
Temple’s claim on Dargah: Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta has claimed that there is a Sankat Mochan Mahadev temple in the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. He has filed a petition in Ajmer Civil Court. The case will be heard on January 24.

4. Rohit said – did not take retirement, dropped himself; did this for the good of the team

Got married four years ago: Rumors of divorce between cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma have been circulating on social media for a long time. 6. Journalist murdered in Chhattisgarh, 3 arrested; Had exposed road scam, accused strangled him, then hit him on the head with an axe.
Mukesh Chandrakar was cremated on Saturday.
New revelations were made in the murder case of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Police have arrested 3 accused Dinesh, Ritesh Chandrakar and Mahendra Ramteke. In this, 2 accused are cousins of the deceased. Police have also made another relative Suresh Chandravanshi an accused, but he is absconding.
SIT formed for investigation: Mukesh’s postmortem report revealed that the journalist was strangled first. Later he was hit on the head with an axe. This caused a two and a half inch wound on the head. Protests took place across the state against Mukesh’s murder. Meanwhile, the government has formed an 11-member SIT under the leadership of IPS Mayank Gurjar to investigate.

World’s oldest woman passes away
The name of Ituka, Japan was recorded in the Guinness World Records in September 2024.
The world’s oldest woman, Tomiko Itsuka, has died at the age of 116. Itsuka was born on May 23, 1908 in Ashiya city in western Japan. She was the eldest among 3 siblings.
