The Railway Ministry has directed the social media platform X to remove 288 videos of the New Delhi station stampede. 18 people died in the stampede. The Railway Ministry said that law and order can deteriorate due to the stampede video on social media. Currently, trains are huge crowds and railway operations may be affected.

ED imposed a fine of ₹ 3.44 crore on BBC India; Accused of violation of FDI rules The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has imposed a fine of ₹ 3.44 crore on BBC World Service India for violating foreign direct investment (FDI) rules. ED has also imposed a fine of more than ₹ 1.14 crore on its three directors. This order was given under the Indian Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
Reason for fine: BBC World Service India is a 100% FDI company. BBC is Digital News Media, but the company retained FDI 100%. Whereas under the order issued by the government in 2019, the FDI limit in digital media is fixed at 26%, which the company ignored. The ED also gave a show cause notice to the BBC World Service India, its 3 directors and the Finance Head on 4 August 2023. here …
