In Chamoli, Uttarakhand, 55 laborers were buried in snow due to avalanche. The incident took place in Mana village of Chamoli, 3 km from Badrinath. The workers were in 8 containers and a shed. 33 laborers have been rescued. Apart from the army, teams of NDRF, SDRF, ITBP and BRO are on the spot. The remaining 25 laborers were being searched amidst 6 feet frozen snow, but the rescue operation was stopped due to the dark and again icy storm.

Mana is raining continuously: Mana is the first village in India on the Tibet border. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in Uttarakhand till 1 March. During this time it may rain up to 20 cm. There is continuous rains and snowfall at the accident site, so the helicopter could not reach there. The injured laborers were admitted to hospitals in Joshimath and Mana.

1. The AAP government used only Rs 582.84 crore out of Rs 787.91 crore given by the central government during Kovid.

3. There was no electricity in 17 out of 49 AYUSH dispensary, toilet in 7 and drinking water in 14.
4. Despite the lack of beds in hospitals, only 1357 beds were increased. Whereas the government had promised to increase 32 thousand beds in the budget from 2016-17 to 2020-2021.
5. Only three new hospitals were built during the AAP government. The cost of the third hospital was much higher than the cost of the tender.
6. Out of 27 hospitals, 14 in ICU, 16 blood banks in 16, oxygen in 8, Morchuri in 15 and 12 hospitals were not ambulances.
