MP Cabinet Decision: Garib Kalyan Mission will be implemented to make the state poverty free by the year 2028, decision in Mohan Cabinet

Cabinet meeting was held in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Many important decisions were taken, the most important of which is that now solar panels will be installed on government buildings under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme.

State Bureau, Bhopal. Mohan government will implement Garib Kalyan Mission to make the state poverty free by the year 2028. In this, along with measures to increase income, work will be done in coordination with departments in the areas of health, education, housing, sanitation, drinking water etc. The outline of the mission was presented in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday, after which approval was given for its implementation.

The state government has announced to implement the mission for all four categories by focusing on the four categories mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi (youth, women, poor and farmers). Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission has been implemented on 12 January. Now Garib Kalyan Mission will be implemented. In this, there will be initiatives to reduce infant mortality rate along with nutrition of women and children and ensuring the health of pregnant women.

  • Everyone should get education till secondary level, students should be present in schools, all the eligible should get connections for cooking food under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, emphasis will be given on cleanliness activities to reach their results.
  • Through the Nal-Jal Yojana, along with providing tap water to every house, providing electricity connections, housing construction will also be done.
  • It was also decided to install solar roof top plants in government buildings of the state under PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme.
  • This work will be done in mission mode this year. At the district level, tender will be floated by integrating buildings with capacity of 20 kilowatts and above. The work will be done on PPP mode. The company which provides electricity at low rate will be given the work.
  • All departments and collectors will prepare an action plan for the areas where the plants are to be set up and submit it to the state level coordination committee. The plan will be approved from here.
  • DPR of the second phase of Dial-100 was approved. In the meeting, the detailed project report (DPR) of the second phase of the integrated police call center and control room system of Dial-100 service was approved. This phase will take place from April, 2025 to September, 2030. For this, 1,200 First Response Vehicles (FRVs) will be required.
  • The project is worth Rs 1,565 crore. Tenders have been invited five times for the second phase. Alternatives will be explored to fill the pond. Fisheries will be promoted to increase the income of farmers in the state. Chief Minister Machhua Samridhi Yojana will now operate till 2025-26.
  • In this, programs like fish seed production in rural ponds, fish farming, prawn farming, training, Kisan Credit Card (interest subsidy), establishment of smart fish parlor, development of integrated information system, conservation of state fish Mahasheer etc. will be implemented.
  • An amount of Rs 100 crore was sanctioned for this. At the same time, the Chief Minister directed that alternatives should be found to fill the ponds which dry up, that is, they should be filled by bringing water from somewhere.
  • Establishment of police bands in all the districts, 932 posts sanctioned. Police bands will be established in all the districts of the state. For this, the cabinet approved 932 new posts.
  • This includes the posts of 10 Inspectors, 38 Sub Inspectors, 72 Assistant Sub Inspectors, 170 Head Constables and 642 Constables.

Other important decisions of Mohan cabinet

  • It was decided to continue the Chief Minister Carp Fisheries Samriddhi Yojana till 2026. Rs 100 crore was sanctioned in this. The implementation of Garib Kalyan Mission was also discussed in the meeting.
  • It was decided that to improve the economic condition of the poor, the mission will be conducted with the help of Panchayat and Rural Development, Urban Development and Housing Department.
  • DPR worth Rs 1565 crore has been approved for the selection of new system integrated for operation of the second phase of Dial 100 service from April 2025 to September 2030.
  • The project has been approved for 5 years and 6 months with 1200 vehicles. Along with this, approval was given to create 932 new posts for the establishment of police bands in each district.

Cabinet meeting in Maheshwar on 24 January

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be on a visit to Japan from 27 January to 1 February. Along with England and Germany, Japan will also be a partner in the Global Investor Summit to be held on 24-25 February. Before this, there will be a cabinet meeting on January 24.
