Sushil Pandey, Naiduniya, Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (Mekast) has been working for the past several years to help people to make people aware of intellectual property rights and to patent their inventions. For this, a patent information center operates in Mekast. Moving beyond this work, Mekast is going to establish the Patent and Technology Center (PTC) in all the universities of the state.
For this, all universities have been sent proposals and asked to decide two faculty. The plan is that on the occasion of Intellectual Property Day on 26 April, all 64 universities of the state should be reached in this regard (MoU) in this regard.
Three days training will be imparted
On the basis of this agreement, three days training will be given to the professors fixed from the university and these trained professors will conduct their own university (PTC). They will also provide technical assistance to the people.
Vikas Shende, the principal scientist of Mekast and in -charge of the patent information center, said that it is usually seen that people make any innovation or invention, but make public information before the patent.
After the work is complete, when they reach to patent, it is known that someone else has patented by stealing their idea. Similarly, there are many such intellectual property, which people have patented, but are not doing any work, these ideas have become only property for them.
Neither the patents who made the patent from these assets took advantage of themselves nor proved to be beneficial for others. The reason for this is that they never got the proper platform to bring the patent to the market. Through Patent Information Center and PTC, Mekast will now fulfill this responsibility.
Because of this needed
Officials said that the patent facility of Mekast provides all information and technical assistance. But it has been seen that very few people are able to come here to ask for help. There may be lack of information, distance and other reasons behind this. In view of this problem, it has been decided to open PTC in universities.
Plan to benefit the patent
Officials said that the National Innovation Foundation (NIF), Naval Research Development Corporation (NRDC), Development of Scientific and Industrial Research and Industries Department and Industries are taking help to provide buyers of Mekast products. After the patent grant, an amount of five lakh rupees is given from the Department of Industries.
PTC will do this work
This center will conduct patent discovery, training on IPR, tell about new technology to students and researchers, to conduct orientation programs. Promotion of innovation, IPR solution for SME, patent dilver training, startup and innovation will work. At the same time, training and innovators will also organize meat for coaches.
Madhya Pradesh, the Indian Patent Office comes under the jurisdiction of Mumbai. Patent applications are sent to Mumbai through Mekast. All PTCs will also be able to do this work here.
What is intellectual property rights
Any composition created by an individual or institution- music, literary work, art, search, name or design etc. is called the intellectual property of that person or institution. The right to be gained on its works is called intellectual property rights. This includes patent, copyright, trademark, design, geographical message (GI) etc.
PTC will be established in three months
On the instructions of the government, the youth and researchers of the state have to establish PTC for cooperation in patent and technical work for their work done. PTC will be established within three months in universities across the state. – Dr. Anil Kothari, Director General of Mapcast.
