Navdunia Representative, Bhopal (MPPSC Exam 2025). More than half of the posts of professors are vacant in 562 government colleges of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has invited applications for vacant assistant professor posts in government colleges. In this, 25 percent posts have been reserved for guest scholars.
Apart from this, they have also been given relaxation in age limit by one to 10 years, provided that they have taught in one academic session or have earned four marks. Guest scholars will get the benefit of this reservation only till the next three recruitments.
Exam will be held for 1923 posts
Two of these examinations will be held this year (May-October 2025). This examination will be for 1923 posts. For this, the Higher Education Department has amended the Madhya Pradesh Educational Service (College Branch) Service Recruitment Rules 1990. Let us tell you that about 4500 guest scholars are teaching in the colleges of the state.
Of these, seats will be reserved for about 500 guest scholars. Let us tell you that 457 posts of professor and 3675 posts of assistant professor are vacant in the state.
There will be examination for these subjects
In this, examination will be held in May for Assistant Professor (Sports Officer, Zoology, Physics, Political Science, Mathematics, Hindi, Geography, English, Economics, Physical Chemistry, Commerce Chemistry, History, Sociology, Computer Science subjects).
Whereas in October, there will be examinations for Yogik Vigyan Kendra, Urdu, Statistics, Sanskrit, Grammar, Sanskrit Literature, Sanskrit Oriental, Sanskrit Astrology, Music, Computer Application, Marathi, Geology.
More than 1100 guest scholars will be eligible
President of Guest Scholar Association in the state, Dr. Devraj Singh said that 4500 guest scholars are working. Out of these, by getting 25 percent reservation, only more than 1100 guest scholars will be able to benefit, because hundreds of guest scholars have crossed the age limit.
They should also get a chance, hence there should be more relaxation in the age limit. Earlier the examination was conducted in 2017. If the examination is conducted after so many years, the guest scholars will become over aged and they will never be able to become regular.
