NASA told Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore’s return date, know when to return

New Delhi:

The US Space Agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has announced the date of return of Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore to the land. According to NASA officials, both these astronauts will return to the earth on 16 March. NASA on Friday approved the removal of the relief team for his return to SpaceX dragon. Both these interitors rode on the passenger Boeing Starlineer and flew to the International Space Station (ISS) on 5 June 2024. But he could not return after technical disturbances in the vehicle. Since then, both these astronauts are stranded there.

The Starlineer spacecraft went to the international space station with Williams and Wilmore to Boeing. It was a test flight. The purpose of this was to see how the new spacecraft performs before being used regularly?

Starlineer problems

After many problems, the Starlineer spacecraft returned to the earth in September last year without a crew. However, a few weeks later, NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian space agency Roskosmos astronaut Alexander Gorbunov were sent via SpaceX Crew-9. Two seats in his dragon spacecraft were reserved for stuck astronauts. These four astronauts were to return in February, but now these four spaces will return together on 16 March.

NASA’s ISS program manager Dana Weigel said that since Crew-9 was launching with two astronauts, it was prudent to adjust Williams and Wilmore to a long-time mission. On the other hand, Crew-10 was NASA’s astronauts Anne McClen and Nicol Aerms, JEXA’s Takuya Onchisi and Royskosamos with Roskosamos’ Kennedy Space Center is to be launched on 12 March. Crew-10 was initially assigned to a new crew dragon, but due to the delay in construction of the new spacecraft, it will now fly through endurities capsules.
