NEET UG 2025: Big decision, the exam will be conducted in one day and one shift, in paper-pen mode.

NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG 2025) on a single day and in a single shift. Besides, the final decision has also been taken regarding the mode of examination. This time NEET UG exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode. Qualifying NEET exam has been made mandatory for B.Sc Nursing candidates in Armed Forces Medical Hospitals for the session starting 2025-26. This decision has been taken under the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC). Before this decision, the education and health ministries had discussed whether the 2025 medical entrance exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode or as a computer-based test (CBT). Now it has been decided that the examination will be held in the traditional pen-and-paper mode only.

NEET UG will be mandatory for these courses

Now it has become clear that NEET UG exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode as before. NTA has announced that NEET UG will be mandatory for admission to undergraduate courses like BAMS, BUMS and BSMS under the Indian System of Medicine. Apart from this, NEET UG will also be applicable for admission to BHMS course under National Commission of Homeopathy. This examination will act as a uniform standard for admission to undergraduate courses in all medical institutions.

When will the registration for NEET UG 2025 start?

The dates for online registration for the exam are yet to be announced. The NEET UG 2025 exam will include the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from class 11th and 12th textbooks. This examination will be conducted in 13 languages. National Medical Commission (NMC) has amended the syllabus of NEET UG 2025. Detailed information about the revised syllabus is available on the official website of NMC nmc.org and NTA portal nta.ac.in. Students are advised to check the new syllabus by visiting the official website.
