Rajesh Verma, Naiduniya, Ujjain (Mahakal Bhasm Aarti). Jai Shri Mahakal … No person has charged more than the prescribed fee (200 rupees) in the temple for Bhasma Aarti Darshan? With this question, if any such phone call comes to you, it will not be surprised, because this feedback is being taken from visitors who visit Bhasma Aarti from Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple office.
Actually, this step has been taken to prevent illegal recovery in the name of darshan in the temple. The reason is that many such cases have been reported, in which illegal recovery was made from devotees in the name of Darshan and Bhasma Aarti in Jyotirlinga.
The role of employees has come out
The role of temple staff in these cases has also been revealed. Action is also taken on them but this series does not stop. A fee of two hundred rupees is fixed for Bhasma Aarti Darshan and Rs 250 for the protocol darshan, but in addition to depositing it online or on the cash counter, the employees and brokers charge more funds from the devotees.
Common devotees banned entry into sanctum sanctorum
Entry in the sanctum sanctorum has been prohibited for the common devotees for a long time, yet there were cases of recovery in the name of worship from the devotees in the sanctum sanctorum. In view of all this, the temple administration has made strictness this time and has made arrangements to take feedback from the devotees so that the illegal recoverrs can be broken and action can be taken.
Collector caught the entire gang
It is noteworthy that in December 2024, Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh, who came to inspect the temple arrangements, caught an entire gang of employees who took money from the devotees. During the investigation, the entire gang of employees working in the hospitality branch of the temple of the District Protocol Office was found to be involved in corruption.
Case of fraud filed
The police had registered a case of fraud on the complaint of the temple committee. A total of 14 people including the staff of the temple committee have been accused in this case. 10 of these people are in jail. Police has declared a reward on the remaining.
Bhasma Aarti and VIP take money for darshan
In the Mahakal temple, money was taken from the visitors to the devotees to get permission to get permission, the threshold of the sanctum sanctorum and the VIP darshan from Nandi Mandapam. In this work, some businessmen, temple employees and security personnel who have been imposing a necklace flower shop outside the temple have been revealed.
The temple committee is trying its best to stop them. Therefore, devotees get caught in the clutches of brokers, Mahakal Temple Committee gives permission to 300 general visitors per day.
200 rupees is charged
Apart from this, a fee of Rs 200 is charged for obtaining protocols and online permission. Apart from this, a fee of Rs 250 is to be paid for protocol darshan throughout the day. But the number of seats (1700) is scheduled in Bhasma Aarti.
Here, recommendation of MP, MLA, Minister, Party Organization and Chief of various departments is mandatory for protocol darshan. Without them, no person cannot have darshan from the Nandi hall under the protocol, so brokers take thousands of rupees in the name of VIP darshan and Bhasma Aarti permission to the devotees.
Rumer will not be released
Zero Tallence Policy has been implemented in the Mahakal temple to prevent corruption. Devotees who come to do Bhasma Aarti are being taken by phone calls. No person who takes money in the name of darshan from devotees will not be released. – Moolchand Junwal, Assistant Administrator, Mahakaleshwar Temple, Ujjain
