On Makar Sankranti, Madhya Pradesh government will distribute sesame seeds, jaggery, bangles and suhaag materials to women.

Makar Sankranti festival in Madhya Pradesh will focus on women empowerment. There will be main programs at the district level, in which sesame seeds, jaggery, bangles and wedding material will be distributed to women. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to provide grandeur to this program.

On January 12, Surya Namaskar and Pranayam will be held in all the schools of the state on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Collectors should monitor these programs. These instructions were given by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav while reviewing the preparations for the programs organized on Public Welfare Campaign, Makar Sankranti, Paddy Procurement and Youth Day in the Ministry on Friday.

If the collector wants to change the school timings then do so immediately.

The Chief Minister said that in view of the cold wave, if the Collector wants to change the school timings as per convenience, then he should do so immediately. For examination preparations, officials should coordinate with students and parents not only at the school level but also at the college level.

Keeping in view the preparations for Simhastha, officials of Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain divisions should study the arrangements of Prayagraj Mahakumbh and see how they can be effective in systematic operation of Simhastha.

On Youth Day, collective Surya Namaskar and Pranayama will be held in all schools.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the collectors to coordinate with the public representatives and provide grandeur to the youth festival program organized on January 12 on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. Students from all the schools of the state will participate in collective Surya Namaskar along with Pranayam. The Chief Minister’s message and 12 postures and pranayama of Surya Namaskar will be broadcast.

Reviewing the paddy procurement, he said that considering the weather conditions, the procured paddy should be transported to the warehouses safely. Pending payments to farmers should be made on priority basis.

During this, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura said that till now 36.89 lakh tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 7.72 lakh farmers. Out of this, 28.01 lakh tonnes of paddy has been transported. After milling, 1.60 lakh tonnes of rice has been deposited.

No one should be deprived of the benefits of eligible schemes

No eligible beneficiary was deprived of the benefits of the schemes. The collector himself should monitor this. The Chief Minister should register the information about the work done in the public welfare campaign on the portal, so that assessment can be done.

During this time it was told that out of 25 lakh 70 thousand applications, 87.9 percent applications were approved. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary SN Mishra, Anupam Rajan and senior officials from the ministry and collectors and public representatives participated virtually in the meeting.

Also given instructions

  • Due to cold wave, make arrangements for bonfire in public places, bus stands, railway stations, main markets and night shelters etc.
  • Those sleeping on footpaths and open spaces should be sent to a safe place for night rest.
  • Make arrangements and organize medical camps in district hospitals to prevent cold, cough and other diseases.
  • Take special precautions to prevent HMPV virus in the state and also publicize prevention measures.
