On Mauni Amavasya, 10 crore devotees gathered in Prayagraj, chaos with the race to go to Sangam Ghat for bathing: CM Yogi- Things are under control, do not pay attention to rumors

On Wednesday (29 January 2025) at Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj, some people are being said to die in Afra-Tafri. However, it is not officially confirmed. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the incident and wished the injured people to get well soon. He said that some of these people are seriously injured, who are being treated.

CM Yogi said, “There is a huge crowd of devotees in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. About 8-10 crore devotees are currently present in Prayagraj. Yesterday, 5.5 crore devotees took a bath of Mahakumbh. This heavy pressure is due to the devotees and their confluence nose, but the entire administration is present there with full vigor on the spot. ”

Regarding the incident, he told, “Between 1 pm and 2 pm, barricades were installed on the Akhara Marg for the Amrit bath. Some devotees have been seriously injured in clotting barricades there. Arrangements have been made for their treatment etc. by reaching them immediately in the hospital. The administration has been engaged in taking a skilled bath to the devotees since the commencement of the Muhurta of Mauni Amavasya. ”

CM Yogi said, “Honorable Prime Minister Shri Modi has called four times since morning for the Kushalashems of the devotees. Honorable Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji, Honorable National President BJP Shri JP Nadda ji and Honorable Governor of the state Mrs. Anandiben Patel also called and took information about everyone’s skills and everyone’s safe bath. A high-level meeting of the Principal Secretary and DGP as well as senior officers is being held here. ”

Describing the situation as normal, the CM said, “The situation in Prayagraj is under control, but the pressure of the crowd remains a lot. I myself have interacted with the officials associated with the Akhara Parishad. I have also interacted with Acharya Mahamandaleshwar and saints. The saints have said very humble that the first devotees will take a bath and when their pressure will be less and they leave, then we will go to bathe towards the confluence. ”

He appeals to the people and saints from every corner of the country not to pay attention to any rumor. CM Yogi said, “Take work with restraint. This event is of people. The administration is engaged with full readiness for his service. The state and central government are ready there to cooperate there. The person who tries to spread the rumor can cause harm. ”

He said, “Temporary ghats have been built within a radius of about 15 to 20 km. Whoever is, can take a bath anywhere. It is not necessary that the confluence comes towards the nose. All are the ghats of Gangaji. They will also get the same virtue there. Bathing is important. All people should follow the instructions of the administration. With this, all people will be able to bathe safely. My most appeal is to help the governance and administration in it. ”
