Work started in November 2022
It is known that the work of Ujjain-Garhut Fourlane Road Project was started by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in November 2022. To get the work done fast, the project work was divided into three parts and gave different construction companies to GHV, Ravi Infra, MKC Infra respectively.
The GHV company had the responsibility of building a road from Ujjain to Khedakhjuria, which could not be completed within the deadline due to delayed land allocation. According to contract, the three firms had to complete the work in July 2024.
Ravi Infra, MKC Infra has almost completed its share of work. The work of GHV is 10 percent left, which is incomplete even after passing the 207 -day time limit. Now the matter of completing the work in a month is being told by the contractor.
Toll plaza will be built here in Ujjain district
The toll plaza will be built five kilometers ahead of Panbihar on the Ujjain-Garh Fourlane road in the outskirts of Ujjain district and before Jagoti. The rate of toll tax is not yet decided. Remember that Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, who came to Ujjain three years ago, laid the foundation stone of 534 km long road projects to be built here for Rs 5722 crore.
The project was also included in the Ujjain to connect Ujjain with Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Ekaspress Way. This road has been connected by the Ujjain-Dewas-Badnavar Fourlane road being bypassing Chandesra village in Ujjain.
Most routes deserted, land price increased
Most of the route of Ujjain-Garh Fourlane route is deserted. Because most of the route is away from urban and rural areas. Despite this, the price of land in the area connected to its route has increased considerably.
People have done deals on land slip before the project starts for petrol pumps, warehouses, school-college, hospital. In the next few months, preparations are also seen to be cut here. New loop colonies have now been cut in Chandesra, Chandesari, Premnagar, Datana, Matana villages on Dewas Road.
