Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday opposed the new draft rules of the University Grants Commission (UGC). He said that the BJP wants to run the RSS agenda across the country. They want to impose an idea, a history, and a language.
Rahul said, ‘RSS aims to end different cultures and history of the country. They want to attack the Constitution and impose their views.
Rahul says that every state has its own language, culture and history. India is formed by meeting them. Tamil people have their own history and tradition. Bringing such rules is an insult to every state including Tamil, where the RSS wants to run its rule.
The Congress described the new UGC rules as dictatorship and constitution and demanded that they immediately withdraw them.
In fact, DMK staged a protest against the new UGC rules at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. Many opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav participated in the demonstration.
