China’s first 5th generation fighter jet J-20 Mighty Dragon, introduced in 2017, is a heavy-duty fighter designed to compete with the F-22 and Su-57. A new more powerful engine is also currently being tested on this aircraft. China calls it as powerful as America’s F-22. However, it has not fought a single war and only China has claims about it. 5. KAI KF-21 Boramay
The KAI KF-21 Borama, built by South Korea in partnership with Indonesia, represents a significant leap forward in the Korean aerospace industry. The jet includes stealth features, an advanced AESA radar system and some technology based on the F-35, placing it somewhere between the 4.5 and 5th generation fighters. The KF-21 made its first flight in July 2022, and several more prototypes are currently in production and undergoing testing. The company aims to start delivering these jets to the army in 2026. South Korea is far ahead in terms of technology. Besides, it also gets a lot of support from America. 4. J35A
China’s new stealth fighter jet J-35A has debuted at Airshow China 2024. J-35A is a medium-sized multirole stealth fighter jet. It is capable of fighting new weapons such as surface-to-air missile weapon systems and new types of armed reconnaissance drones. China is claiming it to be equal to America’s F-35. However, it will still take time for him to join the army. On paper and because of China’s claims, it and J-20 have been placed higher in the list, but Rafale, Typhoon and Sukhoi have shown their strength in many wars.
3.SU-57
Sukhoi Su-57 Felon is Russia’s first stealth aircraft. However, its development was slowed down due to many problems and delays. In the coming years, the Su-57 is going to get a new, more powerful engine to further improve its performance and several other upgrades.
