Paper leak: Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has canceled the 12th class English examination of March 2025 session in the entire state. Officials said that the reason for cancellation of the examination is feared paper leak. The case came to light at the Government Senior Secondary School, Chauhari in Chamba district, where the teachers accidentally opened the 12th class English question paper, while the 10th grade English examination was to be held on that day. According to the board examination schedule, on March 7, English examination of class 10 was scheduled, while on March 8, 12th grade examination was to be held.
Complaint was lodged
According to the official information of the board, on March 7, an anonymous complaint was received, stating that the English question paper of class 12 was opened ahead of time. After receiving the complaint, the board immediately started the investigation. Meanwhile, this mistake was confirmed on the basis of video evidence from “Exam Mitra App”. This app was recently launched to increase the security of the examination.

Board canceled the examination immediately
Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Secretary Vishal Sharma said on Friday that the matter has been taken seriously. The Chairman of the Board ordered to immediately cancel the 12th class English examination under Article 2.1.2 of Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Examination Rules, 1993 (amended 2017). He said that maintaining the credibility of the examination is the priority of the board and no security lapse will be accepted.
