Paper Leak: There are stricter laws than the Center regarding rigging in examinations in Jharkhand, yet paper leak cases are not stopping.

Paper Leak In Jharkhand: On hearing these words “government job”, many types of thoughts start coming in people’s mind. Some people want a government job for pride and some for the responsibilities of their family. Only when children finish school, after seeing or being inspired by some big government officer, they decide that they will work as hard as they have to for this position, for this status, and one day will come when they will get a job in the government of their choice. Will survive after getting a job. Years of hard work, eating barely one or two meals a day, sacrificing sleep, leaving aside the fun and enjoyment of the world, they spend most of their time in a closed room among books. Many times it happens that children become so engrossed in the hard work of getting a government job that they do not even meet their families for years. But after doing all this, when they appear for the exam fully prepared but see something different in the results, they get disappointed, frustrated and sometimes even angry. Sometimes it is a matter of paper leak and sometimes it happens that even after scoring good marks, they are not selected because the exam is rigged. “Paper Leak”, every child is aware of this name today, and why not, in the last few years, there have been so many cases of paper leak that you cannot even count them on your fingers. From Group D level jobs to national level competitive exams, rigging and setting have made their place everywhere. Because of these things, the morale of students often breaks. Talking about a big issue of paper leak, the Jharkhand CGL paper leak issue which has been trending for the last one year is being shown in the entire national media and the interesting thing is that Jharkhand is a state where the paper There are stricter laws regarding leaks in the entire country but still rigging has been going on here for the last two decades.

Strictest law against cheating in examinations in Jharkhand

You will be surprised to know that Jharkhand is a state where the law against paper leaks is as strict as it is in no other state. When the Central Government had introduced a strict bill to stop cheating in the 2024 budget, it included that if a person is found guilty of cheating in examinations, he will be jailed for 10 years and will also be fined Rs 1 crore. A fine of up to Rs. 10,000 can be imposed, but in the state of Jharkhand, a year before this, i.e. in 2023 itself, a law has been implemented to stop copying, which is much stricter than the Central law. Under this law, in Jharkhand, if any person is found guilty of any charges like cheating or rigging or paper leak in the examination, then he will have to face life imprisonment as well as a fine of up to Rs 10 crore. But despite such a strict law, the cases of paper leaks and irregularities in examinations are not stopping in Jharkhand.

Jharkhand was established in 2000 and paper leak cases started from 2001.

Jharkhand state was established on 15 November 2000 after which the first JPSC examination was held in 2001 and since then these paper leak issues started coming up. Allegations of rigging on a large scale started coming after the first and second Jharkhand Civil Service examinations. A CBI investigation was conducted on this matter and it was found that there were many candidates who passed without filling any answer sheet. This case continued for 12 years and chargesheet was filed against more than 70 people. Even after this, almost all the examinations conducted by JPSC were surrounded by controversies. Because of this, Civil Services Examination was to be conducted 21 times in 21 years, so far only 13 examinations have been conducted.

JSSC CGL recruitment has not been successful since 2015 till now

Combined Graduate Level Exam conducted by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission i.e. JSSC is such an examination whose history will leave anyone stunned. The first notification for this examination came in the year 2015, after which the prelims examination was held on 16th August in 2016 and its result was also released in October but after this the mains examination was not conducted due to some reason. After this, the process of application for this recruitment started again in the year 2017 and the examination was to be held in 2018 but it was continuously postponed and this examination could not be conducted till 2019. After this, the Covid pandemic of 2020 came due to which the examinations could not be conducted. Finally, in the year 2021, the discussion about this recruitment was raised again and in 2022, once again the candidates got the opportunity to apply for this examination and it was said by the government that the examinations will be held in August but once again the JSSC CGL examination was postponed. . Finally, after this long dilemma, this examination was finally conducted in 2024. The exam was to be held in 2 days, 28th January and 4th February but as soon as the exam was completed on 28th January, by the evening the news came that the paper had been leaked and the exam was postponed. After this, once again this examination was organized on 21st and 22nd September 2024 and this time the government made very strong preparations, even shutting down internet services in the entire state on both the examination days. This time the examinations were conducted but many students again alleged paper leak and there was a huge uproar in the entire state, at present this matter is in the High Court, hence the final result of this examination has not been published yet.

Will JSSC CGL result not be released this year also after 9 years of hard work?

JSSC CGL exam was successfully conducted this year, after which its provisional answer key and final answer key were also released. Besides, the list of selected candidates for document verification was also released. After a few days, the document verification was also completed and after that it was time for the final result. This time everyone had thought that eventually this recruitment process would be completed but at the right moment the High Court ordered that the result will not be published until the process is completed. And once again the hopes of thousands of students were dashed. Many students even say that if the situation continues like this then no student will ever prepare for Jharkhand’s examinations and they will all start trying for jobs in other states because they do not have anything special expectations from the Jharkhand government.
