Coming from Paris to New Delhi Air India A flight was diverted to Jaipur on Monday. After this the pilot refused to fly the plane from there saying that his duty time was over. Due to this there was chaos among the passengers. He remained stranded at the airport for hours, then he was sent from Jaipur to Delhi by bus.
AI-2022, which took off from Paris at 10 pm on Sunday night, was scheduled to reach Delhi at 10.35 am on Monday. Sources said that due to fog in the capital Delhi, the plane was diverted towards Jaipur on Monday morning.
At Jaipur airport, when the plane was waiting for permission to resume its journey to Delhi, the pilots refused to fly the flight citing completion of duty hours.
Flight Duty Time Limit (FDTL) rules framed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation mandate that aircrew be given adequate rest to prevent any safety issues caused by fatigue.

Another user, Giridhar Upadhyay, wrote on Twitter: “@AirIndia not helping passengers from Paris to Bengaluru stranded in Jaipur since 12 noon. There is a mother there with a 2 month old baby and they are ready to help No. This is very inhumane.”
Sources said that amidst the growing protests, the passengers were sent to Delhi by bus.
“Arranging an alternative flight would have taken more time than sending the passengers to Delhi by bus,” a source said.
