District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh along with Patna SSP Rajeev Mishra had reached the spot to handle the uproar by BPSC candidates over post-examination irregularities in Patna. While the officers were explaining to the students, the DM of Patna lost his temper and slapped one of the students who were creating ruckus. After the slapping incident, the policemen standing there caught the student and took him with them.

Congress has also raised questions on the working style of the DM by sharing the video of this incident. Congress wrote on Twitter that the youth involved in the BPSC exam in Bihar were protesting against the issue of rigging in the exam. He wanted to convey his views to the government. The government sent its favorite officer among these students saying – take good care of them. He is the slapping DM of Patna, his mind is so intoxicated with power that he treats the public like insects. They have got this pride and intoxication from the government, for which the public does not matter.

It is noteworthy that the candidates were creating ruckus regarding irregularities in the BPSC examination. His allegation was that the question paper was given to him late. Candidates came out with question papers and OMR sheets during the examination. They also tore the question papers. Candidates allege that half of the students did not even get the OMR sheet or question booklet for 15 minutes, many students got the question booklet late by an hour and it was snatched away within 10 minutes. Where the capacity of students is more than 200, why were only 175 question papers brought? We came to know that the question paper has been leaked. The teachers were threatening us to keep quiet.

The 70th combined preliminary examination conducted by BPSC was conducted on Friday at 912 centers in Bihar. The examination was conducted at 60 examination centers in the capital Patna.
