PM Modi did not say only- India became infamous due to the policies of ‘royal family’, know how ‘Nehru Vikas Date’ has made a fleet of the country

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has attacked the Congress for bringing the country’s economic mismanagement and permit rule. PM Modi has convicted the Gandhi family for getting India’s infamy on the economic front. PM Modi also surrounded the Congress over the infamy of Indians regarding the economy.

On Thursday (February 6, 2025) in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Modi was speaking about the vote of thanks brought on the budget address. During this period, PM Modi talked about the slow economy during the tenure of Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi with criticism of all the policies of the Congress.

PM Modi said, “Indians were convicted and maligned throughout the society due to the economic misleading and wrong policies of the royal family. While looking at history, there was no license and permit in nature in the society of India. We believed in open society. We used to do free trade and free trade around the world. ”

This attack of PM Modi was about India’s slow growth rate during the Congress Raj and the obstruction of the country’s industrialization due to ‘license raj’. Significantly, after India became independent, its economy was shut down and it was improved in 1991 after the situation deteriorated.

A great example of the economic mismanagement and the slander that is being talked about is the word ‘Hindu growth’. Due to the policies of Congress Raj, India’s slow growth rate was known as ‘Hindu growth rate’. The term was coined by communist economists to hide the failure of Nehru and Indira government.

Instead of telling the failure of the government of many decades, an attempt was made to call India slow and Hindus as lazy by saying ‘Hindu growth rate’. The responsibility of economic development of the country was put on the Hindus. When this word still comes under discussion.

The word ‘Hindu growth rate’ was coined in 1978 by the so -called economist Raj Krishna. He prepared this to mention the GDP growth rate from 1950 to 1980. ‘Hindu growth rate’ is a completely wrong word, because Hindus had the biggest contribution in the country’s economy at that time and even at that time.

Many efforts were being made for the development of the country till the 1950-80s. However, even after this, development remained more or less stable. In fact, the growth rate was around 3.5% during that time. Therefore, the use of a wrong word was started at that time calling the stable growth rate ‘Hindu growth rate’.

This Hindu growth rate should actually have called the Nehru growth rate to economists. Jawaharlal Nehru Azad was the first Prime Minister of India. He remained in office till 1964. Most of the economic policies were decided or made by Nehru. Therefore, the word ‘Nehru growth rate’ seems to be correct for the economic development of the years during and after his rule.

Nehru was so obsessed with socialism that the Government of India also used to run hotels. At that time hardworking persons like Birla and Tata were not given freedom to expand their business. This short -sighted vision of Nehru should be attributed to the slow rate of development. PM Modi has repeated this in Parliament.

The Nehruwadi policies were also carried forward by his daughter Indira Gandhi. Indira Gandhi had nationalized areas like banking, textiles, coal, steel, copper. Due to this, the country of this ‘Hindu growth rate’ was suffering for many decades. In such a situation, it is perfect for PM Modi to say that the royal family made India slander on the global stage.
