Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a gift of thousands of crores to Delhi on Friday (January 3, 2025). He has laid the foundation stone of Veer Savarkar College, which Delhi University (DU) is getting after a gap of 29 years. PM Modi has also inaugurated flats built for more than 1600 people living in slums. Apart from all this, PM Modi has laid the foundation stone and inaugurated many other projects including the new headquarters of CBSE, World Trade Centre. PM Modi has called it a big day for Delhi.
PM Modi has laid the foundation stone of Veer Savarkar College in Najafgarh, Delhi. This college will be affiliated to Delhi University. Delhi University is getting a new college after 30 years. Before this, Delhi University had got the last college in 1995. Veer Savarkar College will be built at a cost of ₹140 crore. This college is spread over an area of more than 18000 square meters and will have state-of-the-art facilities.
Veer Savarkar College will have 24 classrooms and 8 tutorial rooms. This college will have a library, canteen and 40 rooms for teachers. The college campus will benefit Najafgarh and all the surrounding areas. Delhi University is also getting a western and eastern campus. One of these will be the study of law. Both the campuses are going to be built at a cost of ₹480 crore. Due to this, Delhi University will spread to all four corners of the city.

Apart from the education sector, PM Modi has also given the gift of houses to the people in Delhi. PM Modi has visited the new flats built for slum dwellers under the Ashok Vihar Slum Rehabilitation Project of Delhi. He also handed over the keys to some beneficiaries here. More than 1600 flats have been built here. Now people will be able to leave the slum and live here. The government has spent ₹25 lakh on these flats.

PM Modi in Naoroji Nagar, Delhi make Has also inaugurated 2500 flats built in World Trade Center Sarojini Nagar. Many modern facilities have been added to these flats built in Sarojini Nagar. Apart from this, PM Modi has also inaugurated the new integrated headquarters of CBSE built in Dwarka, Delhi. ₹300 crore has been spent in its construction. A data center has also been built in this headquarters. PM Modi has submitted all these schemes to Delhi just before the assembly elections.
