Georgetown: After Nigeria, now Guyana has also honored Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the country’s highest honour. Guyana President Irfan Ali Solanki on Thursday presented Guyana’s highest honor ‘The Order of Excellence’ to PM Modi. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked President Irfan Ali. Giving information about the honor he received through a post on Facebook, PM Modi dedicated it to 140 crore Indians.
PM Modi wrote in his tweet, “My heartfelt thanks to President Dr. Irfan Ali for conferring on me Guyana’s highest honour, ‘The Order of Excellence’. This is a recognition of the 140 crore people of India.” After Guyana received the highest honour, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also congratulated the Prime Minister through a post on his X handle. He wrote in his post, “Another great moment for India as Prime Minister. PM Narendra Modi has been honored with Guyana’s highest national award, “The Order of Excellence”. PM for advocating for the rights of the Global South. And keeping in mind sharing India’s growth journey with the world, this award is a true recognition of his visionary leadership.”
