PM Modi inaugurated the Gramin Bharat Mahotsav 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Gramin Bharat Mahotsav 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on Saturday. While addressing the program, PM said- Most of my time was spent in villages and rural areas. I have seen problems closely that is why I dreamed of solving problems.

Earlier what was the thinking regarding the border villages of our country. He was called the last village of the country. We changed this thinking. We told that the first and last rays of the sun fall here. This is the first village for us. Vibrant Village Scheme started for them. Modi has worshiped those whom no one asked about.

Rural India Festival will run from 4 to 9 January. The theme of the festival has been ‘Building a better rural India for a developed India 2047’.

Big things about PM Modi’s address…

1. On previous governments PM said- Since independence, lakhs of villages in the country have been deprived of basic things. Where in the country do most SCs, STs and OBCs live…in villages. These people live in the village only. Earlier governments did not pay attention to their needs. Migration from the village continued. Poverty continued to increase. The gap between villages and cities also continued to increase.

2. On village development

PM Bonne- Those of us who are from villages, have grown up. They know the strength of villages. One who resides in the village, the village also resides within him. One who has lived in a village also knows how to live in a village. My childhood was also spent in a small town. I have seen since childhood, but due to lack of capital they do not get opportunities. I have seen that there is a lot of diverse potential in the village but it gets consumed only in the basic problems. Sometimes there is no harvest due to natural calamities, it was because of seeing these problems closely that I dreamed of solving the problems of the village poor.

3. On tap at every home Since 2014, I have been continuously serving rural India every moment. Toilets were built in every house, permanent houses were given to crores of families. Today, through Jal Jeevan Mission, clean drinking water is reaching every household in lakhs of villages. At the time of Covid, the world was wondering how the villages of India would deal with this pandemic but we delivered the vaccine to the last person in every village.

4. On crop insurance scheme To strengthen the rural economy, it is necessary that economic policies be made for every section of the village. Just 2-3 days ago, the Cabinet has extended the Crop Insurance Scheme by one more year. The price of DAP is increasing in the world and is touching the sky. If our farmer had got the price prevailing in the world, he would have been so burdened that he would not have been able to stand. We have kept its price stable by increasing the subsidy.

5. On Vishwakarma Scheme Apart from agriculture, most of the people like blacksmiths and potters live in villages. He has contributed a lot to rural economy and local economy. Earlier they were continuously neglected, but we are running Vishwakarma Yojana to help them develop new products, increase their skills and provide them goods at cheaper rates. When the intentions are good, the results are also satisfying.

6. On PM Janman Yojana We started PM Janman Yojana for tribal areas. We are moving forward with the mantra of development of the nation through development of villages. The result of this is that 25 crore people of the country have come out of poverty. A large number of these are village people. An SBI report says poverty in villages was 26 percent in 2012. Rural poverty in India is set to reduce to less than 5 percent in 2024.

7. On rural women Today, women in the villages by the name of Bank Sakhi and Dima Sakhi are further strengthening the economy of the villages. Women are creating revolution in every village through self-help groups. Dalits are also running special schemes for the women of the deprived tribal community. There has never been as much focus on village development as it is today.

8. On PM Gram Sadak Yojana Under PM Gram Sadak Yojana, 4 lakh km long roads have been built in ten years. The people of our village have refuted those who thought that the villagers would not be able to adopt digital technology. Today, more than 94 percent of rural families in the country have telephone or mobile. There are facilities like banking and UPI in the village itself.
