After Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Pravesh Verma was sworn in as a minister. He was at the forefront of CM’s race.
The departments were divided between ministers only 4 hours after the BJP government’s oath in Delhi. CM Rekha Gupta has kept the Finance Ministry with him. Apart from this, 8 departments are kept with them.
Pravesh Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi seat, has been given the responsibility of PWD, legislative cases, irrigation and flood control, water, gurudwara elections.
According to sources, senior BJP leader Vijendra Gupta, who won for the fourth time from Rohini in the new government, can be made the assembly speaker and MLA Mohan Singh Bisht from Mustafabad.

BJP created field-community balance in cabinet The BJP has tried to balance the representation of all major castes in the cabinet. The BJP has given a place in the cabinet to the leaders of Sikh, Jat, Vaishya, Dalit and Purvanchal. Apart from this, the party has made senior leaders a minister.
- The party has included Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who became MLA from Rajouri Garden for the third time in the cabinet. Sirsa is the Sikh face of the BJP in Delhi.

6 ministers are graduate or post graduate while one minister has studied up to 12th standard. 5 ministers are between 41 and 50 years, while two ministers are between 51 and 60 years old. There is only one woman minister in the cabinet.
