Puri Ram, Dal Ram, Lanka Ram, delicious food will be available in Mahakumbh, if you come then definitely eat.

Prayagraj:

With the onset of 2025, the countdown for the world’s largest religious event Mahakumbh to be held in Prayagraj has also started. Mahakumbh is going to start from 13th January and the grand Peshwai of various Akharas has also started. After the sages and saints camped in Tirtharaj Prayagraj, the confluence of faith, the city, is at its spiritual peak. Along with this, arrangements for food, bhandara etc. have also started for the saints as well as the devotees.

Along with organizing Bhandara, many unique arrangements are being seen in the Akharas. In the camp of the Akhara, the servants who serve food to the people sitting in the queue will be seen holding buckets in their hands and calling names of the food which you might have never heard before. If you listen carefully, it will seem that everything has become wonderful here.

Names like Puri Ram, Dal Ram or Lanka Ram can be heard in these stores. Words like Paani Ram or Patal Mewa for water are very unique. Dishes with these unique names are being served to thousands and lakhs of people in Mahakumbh. That too absolutely free. Here pulses, rice and water have been replaced with Rammay.

The tradition has been going on for years

The interesting thing is that due to being vengeful, onion, which is banned in the kitchen of saints, is also called ‘Laddu Ram’ here. Similarly, chilli is called Lanka. Experts say that this tradition has been going on for years. To satisfy this curiosity, IANS talked to the officials of the Akhara.

While talking on this topic, Dutt Giri Naga Baba Avahan Akhara said, “Whatever we make in Annapurna Mata’s kitchen, we first offer it to God. That prasad is in the name of God, so we include God in it.” By doing this everything becomes nectar. This is a part of Hindustani culture and this is the tradition among the saints. Water is also called Patal Mewa. this tradition It is from the time of Adi Guru Shankaracharya.”

At the same time, Mahant Akash Giri Naga Baba Avahan Akhara said, “The more God’s name is taken in food, the more pleasurable it becomes. In food, God is offered first and God’s name is taken in it. Shankaracharya’s This tradition has been going on since time.”

In this way, not only are the names of the food items and dishes unique, the food here is also not called ordinary food. It is called ‘Bhog Prasad’ or food offering. Bhog Prasad means food offered to Gods and Goddesses which becomes Prasad after being offered. In the camps of sages and saints, offerings are made to the favorite Gods and Goddesses and the same offering is mixed in the prepared food, after which the food becomes ‘Bhog Prasad’.

Another unique thing is that here you will get the same simple food which is prepared in homes but when you eat it, its taste will be different and divine.
