122 new institutes joined for the first time (QS Rankings 2025 in Hindi)
In this year’s ranking, 122 new institutes have joined for the first time. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has secured 27th rank for business and management studies. Apart from this, each of IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur and Delhi University has 29 positions in the ranking of 2025.

QS Rankings 2025: 79 universities in India include
A total of 533 universities have been ranked in the 2025 QS World University Rankings, of which 79 Indian universities are included. Of these, 65% (51 universities) rankings have improved. Indian universities have mainly performed well in engineering and technology (24 universities). It is followed by social science (20), natural science (19), art and humanities (10), and universities of life science and medicine (6).

QS Rankings 2025 released on this basis
QS is evaluated on the performance of the subject ranking university on four main things: Academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact such as research impact and H-Index, and International Collection. QS analyzed more than 5,200 institutions and then ranked 1,747 universities in 55 special subjects and 5 large areas.
