Railway Minister shared the video of Katra-Srinagar Vande-Bharat.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Saturday shared the video of Vande Bharat Express designed for the Katra-Srinagar route. This train will connect Jammu with Kashmir valley.
The 49-second video shared on social media also explains the new features added to the train. Updated heating system has been provided in the train. This prevents freezing of water tanks and bio-toilets. Due to the vacuum system of the train, the air-brake will work easily even in minus temperatures.
Earlier on Friday, Vaishnav had said that the Jammu-Srinagar rail link project is a dream come true. He had told that the Commissioner of Railway Security (CRS) has conducted the speed trial. This is a very complex project.

Silicone heating pads have been installed in the water tank of the train.
97 km tunnel and 4 bridges of 7 km in the 111 km route. According to railway officials, this is an updated version of Vande Bharat train. It has been designed according to the weather of Jammu and Kashmir, so that it can be operated even in bad weather and the passengers do not face any problem.
Final safety inspection has started in the 111 km long Banihal-Katra block built to connect Kashmir with Jammu division. It is likely to be operational by the end of 2025. A 97 km long tunnel and 4 bridges totaling 7 km long have been built in Banihal-Katra block.
Railway Minister said- 12 major changes in Amrit Bharat Train-2.0 Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Friday that 12 major changes have been made in the second version of Amrit Bharat trains. Integral Coach Factory (ICF) will make 50 such trains in the next two years. Vaishnav said this during the inspection of ICF in Chennai.
Vaishnav said that Prime Minister Modi had launched the first version of Amrit Bharat train last year. Based on the experience of the last one year, many improvements have been made in it. It has been designed to provide a comfortable travel experience to even the poorest of the poor.
He said that semi-automatic couple, modular toilet, chair pillar and partition, emergency talk back feature, emergency brake system, lighting system like Vande Bharat trains, new ergonomically designed seats and berths have been improved. The design of the pantry car is also new.
Amrit Bharat train will have a total of 22 coaches including 8 general coaches, 12 three-tier sleeper coaches and 2 guard compartments. They are manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. Read the full news…
