The first and biggest event of the new year will be Purna Mahakumbh. This opportunity has come after 144 years. 40 crore people will take a dip in the Ganga. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself reached Prayagraj on Tuesday to take stock of the preparations for Mahakumbh. Most of the work has been completed. The religious flag of the Akharas has been established. The water of Ganga and Yamuna has become clean. The water of Sangam is not just for bathing but is also suitable for drinking. Now the only wait is for January 13 when the full Maha Kumbh will begin with the first bathing festival.

Yogi Adityanath said that this time the whole world will see the power of India’s grand heritage. For the complete Maha Kumbh, thirty pipe bridges have been built on the Ganga. The work of 28 bridges has been completed. To ensure that the devotees do not face any problem in bathing in the Ganga, 12 new concrete ghats have been built. River front has been developed around the river for about twelve and a half kilometers. Checkered plates have been laid in an area of five hundred and fifty square kilometers so that the devotees do not have to walk in the mud.

A new city has been established in Sangam city which has been divided into 25 different sectors. 92 new roads approximately 150 kilometers long have been built. Sangam city is shining with 67,000 LED lights and 2,000 solar lights. There is parking arrangement for more than twenty thousand vehicles at a distance of two kilometers from the confluence. One and a half lakh tents have been made. Everything from Swiss Cottage to Dome City is ready. Dome City is a kind of floating cottage. Those staying in this will get a 360 degree view of the Sangam.

One and a half lakh green toilets are being installed in the Sangam area, fifteen thousand sanitation workers have been deployed. Twelve hundred and fifty kilometers of pipeline has been laid. Connections to more than fifty thousand taps have been given. Two hospitals, one with 100 beds and two with 20 beds, are ready. The last royal bath will take place on 26th February. It is estimated that eight crore devotees will reach Prayagraj on that day.

More than 50 thousand police and para military personnel will be deployed in Mahakumbh. 218 IPS officers will be deployed. Every activity will be monitored from the sky through drones. Underwater drones will be used for the first time in Mahakumbh. These drones can monitor water to a depth of 100 meters. 2,700 CCTV cameras are being installed. Four central command and control rooms have also been created, where 350 experts will be able to continuously monitor the crowded areas. Facial recognition technology will be used for the first time in Kumbh.

Although Kumbh happens every twelve years but this time Mahakumbh is special. After twelve years, the phase of twelve Mahakumbh is completed and after 144 years, the total Mahakumbh is formed. Therefore, this Kumbh to be held in Prayagraj has been given the status of Complete Mahakumbh. Astrologers have considered this Mahakumbh special and the government of Yogi Adityanath also does not want to leave any stone unturned to make this Mahakumbh grand and divine. Narendra Modi is associated with organizing Kumbh. He has advised to connect the legacy of Kumbh with digital technology. Instructions have been given to connect spirituality with the new generation. The message of India’s faith and devotion has been asked to be spread to the whole world through Kumbh. This coincidence, this experiment will be amazing. (Rajat Sharma)
