Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, India is not a very lucky country on the security front. Our army is continuously facing challenges on the northern and western borders. We cannot sit quietly and carefree. Our enemies, whether inside or outside, are always active.
The Defense Minister is on a two-day visit to the more than 200 years old Mhow Cantonment located in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. Today the other day at the Army War College (AWC) he said that equipment made in the country is being exported. 10 years ago, defense export was Rs 2 thousand crores, which today has crossed Rs 21 thousand crores. Our target is to increase it to Rs 50 thousand crore by 2029.
He said that at present wars are taking place in the world in many ways. Today, information war, Artificial Intelligence (AI) based war, proxy war, electromagnetic war, space war and cyber attacks have become big challenges for all countries. He asked the army to be specially prepared for this.
Praising the training center of Mhow, Singh said that the soldiers have been trained by continuously changing the training syllabus. In the coming times, the armies will be able to meet challenges together in a better way.
While addressing the army personnel on the first day of the tour, Rajnath had said that we should keep a close watch on the activities of the enemies. Better and effective steps should be taken against them at the right time.
