First reason- Vaishya like Kejriwal
Rekha is also a Vaishya like former CM Arvind Kejriwal. The Vaishya community in Delhi holds a hold in business. It is always considered the core voter of the BJP. For this reason, the names of three BJP leaders were in the race for the post of CM. Apart from Rekha Gupta, Vijendra Gupta and Jitendra Mahajan were named.
Second reason- Female vote BJP won a total of 48 seats in the Delhi Women’s Assembly elections, a total of 45.56% votes. The big reason for this was that the BJP had announced several schemes for women.
Five big announcements …
- Financial assistance of 2500 rupees every month. Which can start getting from March 8 i.e. International Women’s Day.
- Announced to form a board for the welfare of domestic meds in Delhi.
- Poor women subsidized Rs 500 on cylinders, one free cylinder each on Holi-Diwali.
- Under the maternal safety Vandana Yojana, pregnant women have ₹ 21 thousand and 6 nutritious kits.
- Women have also been given free bus service facility.
Third reason- to make a woman Chief Minister So far, 3 women CM Sheila Dixit, Sushma Swaraj and Atishi have been in Delhi. The BJP has tried to help women by making Rekha the CM. Rekha Gupta is the choice of RSS.
According to sources, before the meeting of the Legislature Party, the RSS proposed his name, which the BJP accepted. BJP veterans like PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Haryana CM Naib Saini campaigned for him.
Rekha’s family grew up from Haryana, Delhi
Rekha’s grandfather Maniram and family members lived in Julana, Haryana. His father Jai Bhagwan became a manager in Bank of India in 1972-73. He received duty in Delhi. After this, the family shifted to Delhi.
Rekha’s schooling was done in Delhi itself. He did B.Com from Daulat Ram College, Delhi. After this, he also studied LLB. He also practiced for some time.
Married to spare parts businessman in 1998 Rekha married Manish Gupta in 1998. Manish does business of spare parts. Rajendra said that Rekha contested the assembly elections twice before.
